In the Church of Scotland your call to a congregation is confirmed by a vote taken at the end of a service you lead and preach in. If I preached in front of a congregation of 359 and 148 didn’t vote in favour, there is no way I would accept that call.

Shortly after THAT party, we were placed in lockdown. During that time my dad went into hospital and was allowed no visitors. We had to suffice with a FaceTime call, during which we reminded him how much we loved him. He died the following day. AND THEY ARE LAUGHING! #beyondlivid

This! I am a Church of Scotland minister. The worship was not my style but I really appreciated the whole Coronation Service. There was drama, prayer, sublime music and a strong message of service. Knocking it because ‘it doesn’t fit’ your view of worship is simply graceless.
