The whole idea of the PiP is awful. You have basically the two richest golfers in the history of this game earning even more money for simply being famous, while all the mini tours are struggling financially and could have used a boost in funds from the PGA Tour. Hard pass.

Almost every TOUR player has their lead wrist moving into flexion in transition. This will help many of you to square the face and shallow the club. It’s a great feel drill you can do at home to work on it if you struggle with slices or a steep club into the ball!

One of my fave drills for golfers who pull down on the handle and get stuck. Alignment stick under trail armpit. Goal is to keep it connected to lead arm in transition as you turn the chest and leave the hands alone. Also helps to shorten backswing if necessary!

A great drill for those of you who have the tendency to hang back on chip shots and bottom out early or struggle with low point issues in general. This helps keep the weight forward and the upper body turning through it well. If TOUR players are doing it, you should too!

If you’re someone who gets their hand path too deep in the backswing, doing rehearsals in front of a wall is a great way to neutralize that. Recreate the bad move, and then feel the difference by avoiding contact with the wall. Arm plane will get higher/less behind you 👍

Personally, I’ve had over 100 ex D1 golfers come see me 10 years down the road who struggle to break 76. Some swings have more timing than others, and these players kept it together by hitting tons of balls. When you’re no longer practicing as much, you lose that timing.

Some rotation ideas for those of you who are struggling to make a big hip turn in the backswing. Let’s increase that range of motion and get you some easy distance!

How does the lie angle of the shaft affect the clubface orientation and loft? Take a look at the video above..

Sometimes, a player needs to feel extreme movements to make changes at full speed. Matt here focused on lowering arms/club down and behind his body as he’s staying in his tilts. Goal is to be able to rotate better without hands kicking way out in front of him. Down to a +4 hp👌

I spoke publicly about JDay needing this change years ago. I’m happy that he has the right team around him now to make some good decisions about his swing & his health. Looks way better

Head moving around too much in your backswing? Swaying off the ball with your upper body? I have a great DRILL for you. Line up a stick off the trail side of your head. Goal is to feel lots of extension from your trail side as you load, while trying not to touch the stick 👍

“Flipping” has nothing to do w/ the hands and everything to do w/ the pivot. When the body stops, the hands can’t get around you to prevent the club from overtaking, so you’re going to flip at it. Find out why you stall. Root cause could be elsewhere. It’s a cycle of matchups..

If you slide too much towards target in the downswing, you’ll typically get the lead side elevating very quickly. The upper body will back away from the target, causing the hands and club to drop to the inside too much. Blocks and hooks. Here’s an exaggerated drill to offset that

Golfers, If you’re meeting your coach for the first time and they ask you what you would like to improve on, have a detailed list of your weaknesses prepared so that you can give them more information. Everyone in the world wants to be more consistent. We know that going in!

This is what happens when a former touring pro gets his amateur status back and starts playing events. They’re on a different level, whether they “make it” or not.

When working a swing change, you need: 1) An understanding of what to do & why 2) Reps. You're unlikely to own it after just a few swings. 3) Time. 50 swings a day (for 2 weeks) is usually better than 700 swings once. Your feels can get lost after so many reps in a short span.
