Shipston High School you smashed it! Over half the school turned out (including some of the Jazz Band!) to walk about 375 miles around the school field in support of the Long Road to Ghana. Donations can be made either by ParentPay or cash to the Finance office

Shipston High School will be closed tomorrow, 12th December, due to the freezing weather conditions and travel concerns for students and staff. Students will be able to access work for the day through Microsoft Teams.
Shipston High School has performed superbly in the recently published latest government data. Our Progress 8 score of 0.3 is the highest in the local area and in the top 10 for non selective schools for the county. Well done everyone.
We have just heard that WCC is to fund a £multi-million project to further develop the school site. We anticipate additional capacity in Sport, Science and Technology meaning we can offer more places in the future. A huge vote of confidence in us and the education we provide!

We are very excited to be in and using our brand new Food Tech kitchens. As part of our £10 million investment our food technology department has been given a complete refurbishment. Lots of lovely food has already been made this week!

This year we have been pleased to welcome a record number of students into Year 7 from many different villages throughout the county. Word is spreading that Shipston High is the place to be!
We welcomed Tiktok star, Luke McQuillan, to reward the children with a music concert to end the Autumn Term. Everyone had a great time dancing and singing along - not sure who enjoyed it most, children or staff!

Always good to hear how our ex-students are doing. Today we heard from Sam Webb who is studying Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Essex and is going on to the University of Birmingham to study MRes Brain Imaging and Cognitive Neuroscience
And they are off! 45 Duke of Edinburgh students are currently using maps and compasses to find their way back to school!! Dropped off in relatively close villages, they have a lovely trek across fields and footpaths to find their way back. Here's hoping they don't get lost!
We saw a whole host of famous book characters across the school yesterday - students and staff alike dressed as their favourites. However, our World Book Day winners have to be the staff in our English Department - fabulous effort guys!

Our Headteacher and senior prefects were honoured to represent the school at the two minutes’ silence in Shipston town centre to commemorate Armistice at the end of the First World War

Congratulations Ellie on a successful night and fantastic dance performances at "Stars of the Future" in Crawley. Dancing her way to a spot in 4 finals - placing 3rd in two and 5th in two - a true star, one to watch! Well done!
Six lucky students were invited to attend Alpine F1 and take part in their "Women in Engineering" event aimed at girls in 7-9. The girls were able to talk with the ladies that work at Alpine and learn their route into engineering as well as taking part in activities. A fab day!
