The monopoly on money is also a monopoly on meaning. If the source of truth & ground of consensus is central authority, then meaning can only be assigned rather than generated emergently. It produces a stagnation, an inability accommodate value structures to new realities.

Theory: the attachment to photorealism in AI art will fade as people come to integrate an understanding of latent space as a medium in itself. Using the visual language of preexisting media will soon no longer be necessary in order for concepts to be culturally legible.
