Hey all - guess what?
@ArubaNetworks
AOS10 just dropped at
#ATMDigital
unifies WLANs. No more "instant" or "controller". One AP software and can bridge or tunnel to a gateway arbitrarily from the same physical AP simultaneously.
How easy is this!! Just use the USB-C charge cable that comes with my MacBook to console natively to my
@ArubaNetworks
CX switch. No drivers at all to worry about
If you have
@ArubaNetworks
, then you do NOT need VLAN explosion! Just create a role for iot. Like I did for my home :) Then just use ArubaOS to deny to that role. No need to know what subnet/host address IOT device has! Even works on wired devices.
Really like my job with
@ArubaNetworks
. Back to back. Went from the ins and outs of WiFi 6E with a large university to architecting a multi tenant EVPN VxLAN network in a 90 story building.
Today one of
@ArubaNetworks
SEs became a US Citizen. While I couldn’t be at the ceremony, his manager was. That’s an example of a good manager and the culture that’s abundant in this organization.
This little guy is an
@ArubaNetworks
AP105. It’s over 10 years old and still in production. Spotted during a college tour with my son yesterday. Impressive lifespan but would like to see this campus upgrade soon! ;).
Just in case anyone is doing a "coffee break" between switch reboots...maybe it's time to look at
@ArubaNetworks
Aruba Switches boot times
2540 48s
2930F 50s
2930M 1min 32s
3810M 1min 57s
5400R 1min 56s
8320 1min 54s
8400 1min 26s
8325 1min 30s

Really great demo and discussion with
@JussiKiviniemi
and
@HaminaWireless
. Excellent excellent tool that EVERY vendor, partner, and consultant should have. People should be gushing about this tool like people gushed about the Sidekick. It's that good
Got my
@ArubaNetworks
6300 finally. Couple things - ships with Bluetooth console and the ever so useful “luggage tag” on the front with part, serial, mac addr info.
Fact check on the first 6E AP to ship. FCC don't lie. I'm Extremely pleased to point out that Aruba's AP635 is the undisputed first to market from an enterprise vendor. Vendor code 2AHBN comes up with a goose egg BTW.
So with all this remote access and stayhome scenarios, I dug out one of my prized
@ArubaNetworks
possessions. An AP-205H signed by hockey legend Ray Bourque.
Data and scale matter. This is just one account out of so so many in
@ArubaNetworks
Central. And no...this isn't a QA lab internally or some demo account. This is real.
Ever wanted to see DNS, DHCP, RADIUS server availability on a switch webUI?
@ArubaNetworks
CX family has a new-ish analytics agent available. Plus...it will send alerts into Central (including ones that clear the error condition!)
I've had a lot of fun posting this afternoon. I hope you enjoyed my feed! Anyone wants to hear the REAL story and not fake news, hit me up (or one of my awesome colleagues). Have a great long weekend!!!
Huge heartfelt thanks to
@KeertiMelkote
and
@airheadone
on building a company a culture second to none. It has been a privilege and honor working along side both of you through the past 10 years. Enjoy your retirement and your families.
Well. Mission successful. I think I got a lot of
@ArubaNetworks
folks sold on EVPN-VXLAN in the campus. Some great feedback. Have several ideas to keep it going. GRE is dead to me.
We had to say goodbye today to our girl Tessie. She was 12. She was a kind and gentle dog who never complained about anything. Sweet until the very end.
Worked with a fellow
@PaloAltoNtwks
SE helping a joint customer with
@ArubaNetworks
CX core migration. He built out an EVE-NG virtual environment to test configs and such. Baller!
It’s Sunday afternoon. I have submitted a change control announcement to my home. It seems I run a mission critical
@ArubaNetworks
WLAN now out of the house so the luxury of mid day weekday changes and upgrades are now forbidden!!
I've mentioned several times that
@HPE_Aruba_NETW
Central runs in
@HPE_GreenLake
. Well we just added
@capenetworks
into that same platform. One place to manage inventory and licensing. Stay tuned for more as we continue to add more apps to the platform!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to go up on the catwalks at the Kennel! Also had the opportunity to enable and be the first to connect to 6ghz
@ArubaNetworks
WiFi enabling a next gen experience to this campus!
FYI, We would like to provide you an update on your inquiry about CVE-2021-44228.
After investigating with the product teams and performing different tests in the Aruba products, Aruba SIRT has determined that no Aruba product is vulnerable to CVE-2021-44228
In less than an hour, I got all this to work and function. SWG, CASB, DLP, and DEP. Or in English - super cool SaaS app restrictions and DLP inspection on files/pages for PII and loss prevention. And I configured it all in one page. Take a gander.
@AxisSecurityHQ
@ArubaNetworks
I cannot wait to screenshot and post all the
@ArubaNetworks
central enhancements that are coming. Can.Not.Wait. I just wish there was a webinar or something where I can be SASE in my feed.
To the applause of most Aruba Central users out there, I have tested today client connect/disconnect delay in Central next gen....under 3 seconds for each test. Like legit under 3 seconds and my page loads are 🔥🔥🔥
Many .
@ArubaNetworks
customers love Access Tracker in ClearPass. It's a great tool for looking for authn/authz records. Well...ESP now will show you this data when you're looking at clients (wired/wireless/remote) in Central. Easy peasy!
I really hate it when a vendor tells a customer untruths about Aruba. Like...really hate it. They are unfounded and deliberate just to gain favor. And it takes time out of my day to go refute it and prove things. AND ONLY 1 COMPETITOR IS DOING THIS. JUST STOP
Spot checking several Central accounts this morning post a major upgrade. Happy to report...things look great! 2.5.6 is almost complete across the globe and sets us up for more goodness in 2023. Just you wait.
@ArubaNetworks

Onboarding with
@ArubaNetworks
CloudAuth (even with those pesky random MACs) is as easy as 1,2,3....or you could manually enter a device PSK or MAC in some webUI that looks like it's from 2003. Happy Festivus!
Wow!! What a privilege to show off a new crown jewel for
@arubanetworks
at
#ArubaAtmosphere
. The initial feedback was amazing, we were backed up by the actual developers and they had immense pride in their accomplishments. Go Aruba!!
Just took an existing
@ArubaNetworks
switch and migrated it to Aruba Central (cloud mgmt). It didn’t reboot, no config change/default needed, and I imported what it already had to use as a template for other switches. Super easy!
@ArubaNetworks
OpenLocate. Available to the entire client ecosystem. Demo with Google and Tile being discussed. A true “hold my beer” moment to the legacy deployments solely relying on BLE. So much easier for app developers.
