A super soldier reunites with her long lost alien lover turned bounty hunter but their relationship isn't quite what it used to be.
(18+ ONLY) Second Contact is an alien romance webcomic that can be read right here on Twitter

⭐New strategy for webcomic creators: Host your comic on a dedicated Instagram account and post your Reels there⭐
I know Instagram has been terrible for artists lately but hear me out!🧵
Does anyone else here find onomatopoeia that's just an actual word to be a huge pet peeve? Like why are we writing "grab" on artwork that clearly shows a character grabbing another person??
@explodikid
Webtoon's absolutely horrible search feature. The amount of people who comment saying they can't find my comic is crazy. If they leave out the apostrophe in the title of my comic it wont show up in the search results at all.
Btw if anyone is interested in how to use Tiktok to market their comic, I can make a thread here along with some video tutorials and examples if y'all are interested.
While
#webtoon
is trending wanna put it out there that I'm currently developing a scifi alien romance webcomic!
If you've been looking for a romance between a human and an alien that looks genuinely monstrous then you've come to the right place!
Try to avoid same-face syndrome. It can get really confusing when reading a comic where everyone has the same face and makes your characters a lot less memorable to your readers.
✨Question for webcomic artists ✨
What’re some character designing tips you’d give to aspiring comic artists? Mine is “be prepared to draw them 1,000,000 times” 😩😩😭👌
OP is just big mad that webcomics are changing and that people use shortcuts to meet deadlines (which most pro artists do??). Reading that thread and their responses is just cringe inducing. I hope I never hit a low like that in my life, how pathetic.
For those participating in the Webtoon
#calltoaction
contest; try not to worry so much about engagement. My entry for the 2020 contest barely had over 100 subs and only a few comments on each episode yet I made honourable mentions and got published in the Heart Anthology.
I am petrified that my lack of popularity will cause me not to place in this contest, but I am going to work hard and own confidence in not only my skill but my story.
My goal post has changed as a webcomic creator. My new goal is to post my series to multiple platforms and hopefully be able to make part of my income from patreon/merch/etc. I'd love to eventually compile my series into books and publish either by myself or traditionally.

CSP being a one time purchase has always been its biggest selling point. This is the worst possible business decision you could have made. Be prepared for people, who would have otherwise bought it, turn to piracy.
I'm genuinely really upset about the possibility of Twitter dying. It's so much harder to connect with other webcomic creators as a community on other platforms and there is no other unanimously used site to post NSFW art. All of the other ones are so niche
Make sure your video has a hook. Tiktok users have an extremely short attention span so something interesting needs to be happening in the first two seconds. This includes using a lot of jumpcuts throughout your video and interesting camera work to show off your art.
I just read a manga where a woman gets married to a giant snake monster and it was so wholesome??
It pushes the concept of monster loving to its extremes and manages to be so so cute I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do.
Was just informed that the news of Tapas getting involved in crypto is false; crisis averted.
Although my original point still stands: Those who use online platforms to monetize their work/make it visible can't afford to just jump ship if these platforms get involved in crypto.
I know most of you are tired of constantly taking on new social media to promote your series but I promise you Tiktok is worth it. As a video app, Tiktok is very different from other social media so I'll explain the basics.
There are so many ways you can make videos to market your comic on Tiktok but I find that most webcomic creators instantly wanna go into "pitch" mode. You have to get rid of that mindset. Make memes, simp for your characters, and show off your art!
If I cared about people judging me I wouldn't have made an alien romance where the super soldier fmc has an enemies to lovers situationship with a lizard alien bounty hunter. Just sayin 👀
Make sure to add this caption to every video you post to Reels: "Follow to read my (genre/trope) comic, (comic name)!"
It helps to also add the genre or main trope in the caption to hook in people that may need some more context to decide to read your comic.

Same here! I was drawing for art classes but I didn't really make any art outside of fundamental classes for 5 years. I think I was depressed and felt lost about art as a career path but knew I couldn't give it up. Was just waiting for the inspiration and motivation to return.
"Warmth" is an NSFW AU of Second Contact's Ch 0 taking place right after the kiss. It's fluffy, awkward, and spicy and the first page is up on P

Everyone hates being advertised to and that includes your comic. Don't "pitch" your comic on Tiktok. Instead use memes and audio trends as a way to tell viewers about your plot and characters. Ex:
