I think that one of the reasons why I'm attached to Michonne so much is that I've always seen her as a misunderstood and often unappreciated character whose honesty, sacrifice, and extreme loyalty has sometimes only got indifference or even resentment and exclusion in return.

I just stumbled upon a fan fic where Rick and Michonne died fighting the CRM. Nat made it to Alexandria and brought Michonne's diary to Judith and RJ, who were raised by Daryl and Carol as their kids. Eventually, Daryl and Carol fell in love, and they all became a happy family.
