After 13 years working as a correspondent in India, the authorities have denied me a permit to work as a journalist. I have thus been forced to leave the country.
Here is my statement.
There are many Hussain Obama in India itself. We should prioritize taking care of them before considering going to Washington. The Assam police will act according to our own priorities.

Calls for organized murders of muslims have become so common in

that it doesn’t become news. These calls are still extremely violent, and have been viewed by lawyers as « conspiracy for mass murders ». One leader is out on bail for this, and not supposed to be talking.

India can become the 3rd economy in terms of absolute GDP, as claimed by PM Modi. But even then, according to the IMF, an average Indian will still earn less than a Bangladeshi or a Palestinian.

But the most cruel behind that story might be that this demolition has been launched for pure political game between the Aam admi party, heading the delhi region, and the BJP, at the federal govt.

The "tool kit" talked mainly about tweeting your opposition to the farm laws, writing to your MP and protesting in front of indian embassies. For Delhi police, all that equates to "waging a war against India".
Here the link to the main Toolkit
Delhi Police has taken cognizance of a 'Toolkit Document' found on a social media platform that predates and indicates a copycat execution of a conspiracy behind the 26Jan violence. The call was to wage economic, social, cultural and regional war against India.
A serious new menace has just hit India: a fake photo, looking very real and credible, has been published using an artificial intelligence app.
It will soon be very very difficult to ascertain what picture is real on social media.

While the economy is facing a difficult crisis, there seems to be a coordinated campaign to 'thank the Prime Minister' for different changes of policy, that may go unnoticed without these big ads. 3 pages in the TOI over 2 days.
Among the 10 'media brands' which are the most trusted by Indians, Twitter and Facebook end up ahead of most of journalistic based media. Happy that at least what's app doesn't end up in the top 10 !
