We had special guests in the school yesterday as some of the players from the Old Leighlin Ladies Football team visited with the cup. They were worn out from signing autographs while the kids got off homework as a special treat to mark the occasion!

football game today, finishing with a win against Clonegal. Star of the show was Blas, our Spanish exchange student, who scored two goals in his first ever game! His compatriot, Jorge scored a goal against Kildavin last week!
Well done to Lily Mary and Hannah, from Mr O'Regan's room, who presented their projects on Finland and Russia, countries the girls have an association with. Both girls did lots of research and spoke beautifully. Well done, girls!!

An outstanding effort from our u-11 CU Quiz team saw them finish in joint 2nd place today at the Regional final. Unfortunately we missed out on a place in the All Ireland on a tiebreaker. Considering that 2 of the boys are u-11 for another 2 years, it's an incredible achievement!

Well done to the boys and girls in Mr Hanley's class who travelled to Waterford yesterday to receive our SCHOOL EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS 2021 - 2022. The theme was "SUSTAINABILITY IN SCHOOLS"
We had a great outing at the Leighlin Credit Union Quiz yesterday.
Almost a quarter of the school was represented on three u-11 and three u-13 teams.
Our u-13s did very well to finish in 2nd and 3rd places.
Our U-11s stole the show, finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places!
Our camogie team played a great game, in awful conditions, against Kildavin today. The girls gave it everything but were beaten by a few points. A special word of thanks to our 6th class girls who played their last game for the school. They were brilliant!
