was rewatching ep7 and this little scene got me thinking, specially after my friend pointed out that, out of the main three DDs, J is the only one who's not under Uzi's admnistration
now that i am thinking more clearly i genuinely cannot remove this scene out of my head
AS forcing its hosts to commit acts of self-harm mid-possession. okay
the entire dynamic of these 4 together it's so funny and sweet it's like 4 college students who are also a bunch of idiots trying to survive their part-time jobs
@bewereyote
it's even more annoying because when we get a same-gender couple with a bisexual character they go "erm are they really bisexual since they were only attracted to x gender in the show" like we can't win in this shit
“And here it is, our final night alive„
“And as the Earth burns to the ground„
“Oh, boy, it's you that I lie with„
“As the atom bomb locks in„
“Oh, it's you I watch TV with„
“As the world, as the world caves in„
look me dead in the fucking eye and tell me this looks like someone who's human version would look like some ugly fuckboy with a six-pack and shaped like a doritos
Uzi is shown to be one of the smartest drones in the series with the way she can fix stuff in a breeze and has no trouble doing the investigations by herself + her fast critical thinking, but the fandom only pays attention to two lines that mention anime and nightcore GET ME OUT
@tangsanzangz
if i remember they used to be 12 and 15 respectively but sometime ago sega just got rid of their ages out of nowhere so i guess they don't have canonical ages anymore?
@zkzeki24
@VanessaSan7201
It was after the premiere of the pilot, that is, around November 2021, when he said for the first time who his favorite characters are and 2 more times in a live show and in Glitch X.
i fucking HAAAAATE when people headcanon a character as aroace just because they don't want to ship them with anybody, it's so weird and completely ignores the fact aroace is a SPECTRUM
Can people stop fucking mentioning aroaceness when they’re talking about shipping. “Theyre aroace so they’re unshippable” “i don’t think theyre aroace so I ship them w ppl” what are you guys talking about. genuinely what does that have to do with anything. Talk to real aroace ppl
i'm kinda tired of queer spaces because of how comfortable some of y'all are with erasing canon mspec + aro/acespec identities and brush it off like it's no big deal TEE BEE EICH...
“I would love you completely, wholly. I won’t hide behind shadows. I won’t love you from afar. I won’t only take parts of you. I want all of you. Mind, body, soul. I want to be with you. Always.”
@ttrashcatt_
something something, anonymity made people a little too comfortable on the internet to do shit without thinking twice, something something
i have an extremely stupid headcanon that Cyn's real voice is like, the thickest french accent ever that makes her almost unintelligible half of the time and it's so fucking funny to me
additionally, as smart as the Solver is, we know its prone to accidentally slipping up and saying more than it should, as it doesn't know how to fully behave and communicate like a physical being.
there's a chance that comment was another thing it didn't meant to say, but did.
“You have never been unlovable. You were just waiting for someone who will love you for who you are, not for who they want you to be. I can do that, if you'll let me.”
1 — suspicious Tessa dialogue
right at the beginning of episode 6, Uzi and “Tessa” have an interesting interaction, where Tessa's choice of words implies that both of Doll's parents were infected with a sickness, this sickness being the Absolute Solver.
i don't even watch the show but the amount of discourse about this ship proved me one thing, and it is that y'all do not understand how family dynamics works outside of a very white and american-centered perspective.
y'all want to "fight against cisheteronormativity" so much but the second a nonbinary / t-GNC person enters the conversation, you expect us to "prove" our transness to you by reiforcing gender norms, and if we refuse to engage with it we're "faking our identities"
// suicide mention
when i was around 14—15 i had set up a very elaborated plan to kill myself on the day i became 18, so me becoming 19 it's genuinely super huge and important because it means i managed to beat that really bad ideation that i had planned for years
Earth, as well as having no trouble recognizing Nori despite her being just in her core form. in fact, the Solver remembered her well enough to the point it was under the assumption Nori died after being attacked by the DDs, where its possession towards her body ceased.
here's the original post btw. please go give some attention to OP, because if it weren't for her, i wouldn't have even thought of making this!!
with that out of the way—
here's why i think Doll's mother AND father were infected.
@clownirc
i feel like the scene of V going "ew" to them holding hands did irreversible damage to how people portray her character because everyone assumed it was out of jealousy, when she probably just said that because she thought they were wsy too corny 😭😭
[V fucking dies, everyone is fighting for their lifes, Uzi has her arm cut off, Tessa is bitten by a sentinel and is slowly bleeding, N is severely traumatized]
J in Tessa's ship:
as much as i want J to have more screentime on ep7, i cannot deny that the idea of J just chilling in the spaceship while all that shit goes down it's really fucking funny
i'm making this thread because yesterday my friend sent to our groupchat a post on tumblr referring to a specific line of dialogue from "Tessa", and the implications it has.
i genuinely couldn't stop thinking about it ever since, so i wanted to rant about it.
women watching BL or a gay romcom is not fetishization because it's just a piece of media.
fetishization starts when they start applying media stereotypes on real mlm/nbylm couples, excessively watch gay porn, fetishize real gay/achillean men, etc.
before the release of episode 7, this could easily be brushed off as just Tessa having wrong information. but now that we know it's the Absolute Solver using the real Tessa as a disguise, that comment becomes very suspicious.
“but what if it's just the Solver misremembering it?”
i'm going to be honest and in the kindest way possible, but please avoid using this argument to defend him. this is a very common argument used to defend abusers by claiming they should be giving a second chance because ''they've been through a lot'' and ''they didn't meant it''.
