Turns out, he passed away after praying jummah in a car crash whilst fasting. Didn’t know the brother personally but I would always see him around, always in the prayer room and had very good manners. May Allah grant him jannah. What an honourable way to pass.

Fasting is a sign of discipline. If you wanted to eat you can but you choose not to as you fast for the sake of Allah. This same discipline should be carried over post ramadan, where you have certain desires, bad habits and sins you do but you could choose to refrain from it.
