When I was 17 years old, I walked into my band at the times practice space, and they were trying out a new vocalist behind my back. Their reason was because he looked cooler (had plugs, tattoos, etc). 11 years later, I have AirPods, and they're all no longer playing music.

Metalcore is such a weird genre. Its like most of the successful metalcore bands are trying as hard as they can to get away from metalcore. Which I don't feel like is a normal thing in other genres. FFAK is not going to be one of those bands.

Our new album isn’t the overall heaviest we have ever done. It’s the most metal we have done, for sure. And there will still be tracks in the vein of “Shattered Glass”, “Stacking Bodies”, and “Tower of Pain”. But I’ve never enjoyed our music more than what I’m hearing right now.

While I am a Christian myself, as I travel the world and meet more people, I totally understand why people are turned off by the idea of being a Christian. Some of the most fake people I've met on tour were outspoken Christians. Some even seemed to LOVE judging other people.

There will be a restructure in the way FFAK releases new music. More singles/EPs while we take longer amounts of time perfecting albums. So no more album every 2 years, but more new music, and more intentional records.

We tried selling FFAK masks at the beginning of the pandemic, and got harassed for trying to “profit off the pandemic”. But the same person goes on Amazon and buys a pack of lower quality masks. Some people just don’t like bands trying to survive/thrive, and it’s weird.
