Shocking. @Shahzad747 was captain of @Pwick_Cricket a few years ago & led them to a premier league title & managed to win the over all Scottish wide title as well. For him to be treated like this by members of his own club is sickening @runoutracism

Education is key to change, and even in severe cases like this we would support a route back after a suitable punishment. However, where individuals show no remorse or any insight, they deserve no place in our sport. A lifetime ban is in this case entirely appropriate.

Verdict in. Mr McGregor has consistently insisted he did nothing wrong to numerous parties, even when pled guilty. He refused to engage in @CricketScotland process weeks after. Now shows regret at point of criminal sentence? It looks like it probably is.

A cricket scorer who racially abused @MajidHaq has been fined £420. Ronald McGregor was told his abuse of the former @CricketScotland International was a "racial slur" that is "completely unacceptable". McGregor said he regretted his actions + wished to apologise to Mr Haq
