I entered Medicine to be an advocate. I will never be silent about political issues bc these policies often come down with vengeance on the human body too. Patients don’t exist in a vacuum, they exist within a society. When that society lets them down, I will speak up against it.

Exactly a year ago today my dad was taken to hospital w neutropenic sepsis which caused him to become bed bound until his death. Today I walked into the hospital as a doctor. There’s definitely something beautiful in this coincidence, but I just wish so bad he was still here ♥️
