Also wanna thank the 4 senior transfers. A big worry about transfers is about them not buying into the culture. Didn’t have to worry about that with these guys. Up there with the Chris Knights and Ryan Schwiegers.
People saying this is a lateral move is so funny. SLU is a top 4(hopefully) program in a top 7 conference. Indiana state is a middle of the pack program in a mainly one bid league. Not even close to lateral.
NEWS: Indiana State star transfer Robbie Avila has committed to Saint Louis, following his coach Josh Schertz, he tells
@On3sports
.
The 6-10 sophomore averaged 17.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists this season.
Two years left! Great get by Drew to close off his roster building. In a year where a lot of teams are having uncertainty, Drew got this roster built quick.
NEWS: Washington State transfer Kymany Houinsou has committed to the Loyola Ramblers, he told ESPN. The 6-foot-7 Swiss army knife French guard boasts strong college and FIBA experience, but is only 20 with two years of eligibility remaining.
Most important game for Loyola program wise since the Illinois game. This is a game on the national stage at home against a top 25 team. Let’s see if Drew and the boys are up to it.
Sad but kind of the same thing with Ben. Also will help Loyola get a little bit more experienced. Now drew can get his PG, PF, Backup C, and wherever else he feel needs help.
NEWS: Daniil Glazkov, On3’s No. 69 ranked recruit in the 2024 class, has committed to Loyola-Chicago, per
@JamieShaw5
.
The 6-5 shooting guard is rated as a four-star prospect.
Story:
All this talk about Porter going to DePaul which kinda sucks. I still think Drew has a higher ceiling due to his recruiting ability. Drew’s bringing in guys that Porter(if he was still at Loyola) wouldn’t be able to get. Xs and Os wise, Porter is prob better but Drew is also 32.
If Loyola doesn’t make the move to the A10 they wouldn’t get the impact transfers they’ve gotten especially this year. I don’t see Adelekun going to the valley.
Loyola-Chicago made an unwise decision moving to the A-10. MVC was a great fit for them.
Ramblers will just be another “blah” program in the A-10, which already has a lot of those.
UC San Diego transfer Francis Nwaokorie has committed to Loyola Chicago.
The 6-7 forward started 86 games and scored over 1,000 points in three years in the Big West — 11 PTS and 5 REB per game this season. Versatile, skilled and physical. One year to play.
What a fast break that. Norris with the behind the back give to Dolan. Than Dolan with a nice give to Dawson while giving him some room to make the 3. That’s a winning play right there.
What teams are crushing (and getting crushed by) the portal so far?
The top 30 and bottom 30 programs, based on player value gained and lost (net OVR):
A lot of people are talking back their comments about just the whole Loyola program. But there were so many people that were saying Loyola shouldn’t even be in the A10. Love how the boys are shutting people up.
I'm also happy for Loyola Chicago. They got a lot of crap for their admittedly catastrophic maiden voyage in the A10 but they've been one of the best mid-major programs in College basketball for the better part of the decade. They invest in basketball, pack their arena, and care.
THE DECISION.
With UMass leaving the A10 it is time for me to choose a new A10 team for my fandom. I will love UMass forever, this is just business.
With that said, Let’s Do It
@BonniesMBB
!!
Please respect my decision.
UIC wing Toby Okani has entered the transfer portal while declaring for the NBA Draft, source tells
@on3sports
.
The 6-8 wing averaged 11.1 PTS, 6.8 REB, 2.0 BLK & 1.5 STL.
Only 5 other players averaged 2+ BLK and 1+ STL per game this season.
Per the LUC athletics office, Saturday’s game vs La Salle is nearly sold out.
Senior day + Season tix reception afterwards + last home game = good time to 🎟️
With all the highlights and stuff that come out for the 2018 final four team I just can’t help but think that the 2021 team is so underrated. I think they beat the 2018 team.
