story of a CEO retiring and being replaced by a cost cutter, only for the workers to want to bring the old CEO back as the magic is gone!
@andrearene
@disneyplus
It's a global release. so there is no good time... Europe, Asia, Australia etc If it launched in the evening US time, the rest of the world will have the same problem
I don’t know what Disney Channel shows everyone is comparing
#msmarvel
too? Because the ones I’ve watched ain’t nothing like ms marvel . Or is it just that it has references to TikTok and having teenagers as the main characters?
@KingofToons
@CocoaFox023
As a Brit who went flew out to Toronto twice in 2002, life carried on for everyone. Life carried on outside the US pretty much as normal, Bar extra security. Total stretch to try to force this angle on Turning Red.
So yesterday I was invited to a small event in the middle of London for the launch of the ad tier on Disney+ (it’s just £4.99 a month!).
Got to speak with some of the great team at Disney+ UK, meet Edith Bowman, and have easily the best omelette I’ve ever had.
@AtDisneyAgain
Ironically as well, people on their own need a streaming service more....they're completely isolated, if you've got a family, they've got each other
Disney needs to get out some info on Hulu On Disney+ asap. Seen so many bad takes on the one app experience of people misunderstanding plus some awful clickbait articles making it worse
Just putting this out there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the other

October lists for U.K./Canada/Australia etc don’t arrive until after Tuesday due to the Queens funeral .
@SonnyBunch
Great if you live near a major press screening city.. 7 hour round trip for me for a screening. So yeah, a screener makes a lot more sense to me
Good luck trying to pick what version of Disney Streaming you want in the US?
Disney+ Basic
Disney+ Premium
Hulu
Hulu with Ads
ESPN+
Disney+ Duo
Disney+ Duo Premium
Disney+ Trio
Disney+ Trio Premium
Or Hulu+ Live TV
Hopefully at some point the

. . New content? Classic content? New collections? New thumbnails? Lick of paint? Something at least!
It'll be interesting to see if Bear In The Big Blue House trends on
#disneyplus
or hits Nielsen, as its been one of the most request classic shows for years. Or if most fans will check out an episode, get the nostalgia fix and never return for the rest
Never understand how people think a streaming service or channel adding a show or film that they don’t wanna watch is a bad thing.
Not everything released has to be for you.
It’s called variety.
If we all liked the same shows and films it would be rather dull.
Gotta say, to be 5000 miles from home and having people say they enjoy my content. Is just crazy to me. Had some great conversations with so many people today. Means so much and really made my day even better!!
So just a pure theory on

2023 schedule if they are slowing down releases ?
Not over lapping like 2022 did which didn’t work.
Mando - March/April
Secret Invasion May/June
Loki July/August
Ahsoka Sept/Oct
Ironheart Nov/Dec
And Disney+ internationally is showing he’s right in what he saying as most of the trending titles general entertainment shows like family guy, greys anatomy, etc. He said adults probably don’t want to watch animated films like Pinocchio once they’ve put the kids to bed.
@christerical
@tranganhdong
For me, getting to a Disney Park once a year is a luxury... Most people are lucky if they go once in a lifetime.
I'm now hoping my next trip will be Sept 2022.
@daveleedwnundr
The cost of living crisis is still hitting families hardest. A family trip to the cinema is not as important anymore. With larger screens at home, cheap snacks, toilet spots etc habits have changed forever. They might never go back to how it “used” to be.
The official

social media posts do make me chuckle sometimes.
Post - Here’s something brand new that we’ve spent millions on!!!
Comment - when’s (insert old show) coming?
Every single time!
@GeeklyGoods
Multiple reasons:
1) Expensive to go
2) Worse experience
3) home setups are better
4) pandemic changed habits
5) more entertainment competition
6) it’s often better to watch at home
7) worse movies
8) faster home releases
it’s not any one thing , it’s a combination
@DSNYNewscast
I think Chapek is probably the right guy for a Pandemic/recession. Keep costs down, steer the company through these bumpy years. But he isn’t good long term, as you said, he doesn’t seem to have vision & is too conventional. A CCO is needed to give more “creative” leadership
@kasey__moore
I think one issue is Disney are “overthinking” their animated movies, almost aiming them at adults rather than families/kids. Encanto & Luca we’re great films. Minions/Mario aren’t exactly story driven. But huge money makers because they are simple but effective
