If you are broke and are trying to figure out how to get started online... do not try to build a website.

A long time ago, a mentor in the affiliate marketing space told me:
"Give away the house, sell the backyard."
That was about how he strategically positioned his affiliate offers.
What thoughtful design can do for your newsletter:
- Increases click-through rate
- Improves your reader's experience
- Makes information easier to understand and consume
- Inspires readers to share the newsletter with others
- Creates consistency and a recognizable brand.
For some reason:
$150 course sales hit differently (>) compared to $3k+ client projects. The course sales excite me the most.

Every company I genuinely wanted to work for rejected or ignored me.
Rejection is redirection.

A MISTAKE I made a couple of times when I started getting attention from newsletter creators about how I designed my newsletter, :
Bartering.
I redesigned newsletters or created customized animated headers and dividers in exchange for a promise👇
@nathanbaugh27
It is why I always need to write and draw (almost) everything by hand before I type or design digitally.
It is also why I have two working stations:
1. digital (production, publishing)
2. analog (creative thinking, mental space)
Your word is everything.
Without it, you've got nothing.
NOTHING.
Do what you say you will do, or better yet...
Say what you will do after you've done it.
Apply it in life, relationships, business, and career.
Your future self will thank you for it.

Strategic, well-done design:
- improves user/reader's experience
- increases engagement with the content
- increases click-through-rate
- increases credibility and trust
- creates a recognizable brand
- sets you and your brand apart (stand out)
...and if positioned uniquely, it

Love to see that after 2.5 years... your post aged pretty well. Nothing better than seeing people win, especially after getting fired from a job.
Man, when your kids (and your spouse) are sick...
And, you're the only one who can care for them...
It creates a different type of fire within you.
It also puts everything into perspective.
What was considered "urgent" becomes irrelevant.
Every time I tried to fit in, in business and life, it never worked for me, and frankly, it didn't feel right. So, I'm back to good ol' me.
Not like I had any other options. 😏
I can NOT relate to people who get jealous of other people's success while expecting the same for themselves WITHOUT doing what's necessary to achieve the same results.
My most challenging design project:
As a newsletter designer, one of the most challenging projects for me has been designing a newsletter where the client (intentionally and deliberately) wants the colors to not make sense and to look "ugly."
I cringe in every section. 🤣
