My dear mother passed away Wednesday night. For those who knew her, you know she was a very kind-hearted woman who made others feel accepted. She was an exceptionally hospitable woman who loved to cook, and those who were invited to dinner loved to eat her food. She was unique.

1. Literal interpretation: The plain, normal, or natural meaning, intent, or sense of words. When I was in seminary, this meant Israel means Israel and church means church. Though this is somewhat of a simplistic account of what I was taught, in essence it is accurate.

Resist the urge 2 join a tradition. It’ll become a pope 2 you. Instead, start your own. It’s the only safe way. You will always agree that yours is right. It’s way humble, too. Self-poping popery. Try it. You’ll be proud of your accomplishments, especially the idiosyncratic ones.
