In Lebanon, Mohamad was a practicing gemologist and moved to Canada in search of a better life.
He arrived with $1,500 to his name and took a job at Tim Horton's to pay the bills.

4/ Mohamad developed a relationship with the owner and learned the business was on the brink of bankruptcy.
The restaurant's employees had their visas tied to the restaurant so if it closed, many would have to return home.
So Mohamad loaned the owner $250,000
5/The owner mismanaged the loan and Revenue Canada froze the bakery's accounts.
To repay Mohamad, the owner agreed to sell him the shop.
In short order, Mohamad turned the struggling baker around and quadrupled their sales.
2 years later, he opened the flagship Yonge location
