Do you have a pet peeve in music? Not artists, styles, genre, popularity, fandom, etc, but something actually in the music itself, like "guitar solos", or "distorted 909s".
Just curious...😉 I'll share mine later
Gonna join y'all in this "define musical taste in 10 bands". Note, this list is always changing:
Autechre
Slowdive
The Stone Roses
Cocteau Twins
Black Sabbath
Black Uhuru
Iron Maiden
Seefeel
Chopin
Dillinja
Valy and I are blessed to have been together for so many years, and we are so happy to have shared the experience of getting inked together. Life is so much better with V around.

Holy!!! That's wild!!! I hope you explored the neighborhood. The Old Mandarin restaurant across from there is a classic. Me and my mother still order from that place.
Hi.
You Will Never Know Why reissue is officially out today for digital download and streaming. CDs will start shipping in the next few days. The vinyl version will ship soon after; stay tuned for further developments, or visit
@MrDarla
's website to stay up to date.
Sheesh! Ppl hating on us? Why? What did we do? It's ok. I hope the haters can move on and find new music to enjoy, be happy with, and shed the hate. Hating is a time suck, and that time can be used for other fun things.
Just a reminder that the
#YouWillNeverKnowWhy
reissue will be freshly remastered (and it sounds beautiful), will include 3 bonus tracks, and a cool comic book.
Darla Records put us to work, so be a kind soul and grab a signed copy so we don't feel we slaved ourselves for nothing (lol just kidding, dramatic much?)
Ha! We got sandwiched between Joanna Newson and Boards of Canada. All jokes aside, we really truly honestly cannot believe that we even chart anywhere in the first place. We 💜 you all!
Valerie is the coolest, most awesome person I know, smart, witty, silly, funny, kind, generous, extremely talented and influencial to me. I could never ask for a better partner in crime, and I am honored that we share this musical journey together.

We posted this on Instagram, but I'm relaying the message here. We have decided to ditch our individual IG accounts. The official account is the place to be from now on.
Our exclusive 7" tracks, Here Comes The Sea, and Ravers Beware, will be available on all streaming platforms starting on 01/07/2022 midnight. We are excited to finally share these with the world.
Speaking of, 😁
In all seriousness tho, I agree with this. I think people need to put themselves in other's shoes (empathy I think) and ask themselves, "how would I feel if someone made negative comments about me, something I do, or something I like".
You know, back in the mid 90s, we sent a demo tape to
@WarpRecords
not expecting anything, and they actually wrote a rejection letter back.
I wish I still had it.
Ppl have been asking us about touring and such. The official band statement is that as much as we would like to, we can't say for certain at this time.
The song is about getting off your ass, and not wasting time to pursue things you want or think you deserve. The break views this "message" cynically, like "sure, that's a pipe dream", & also like, "I know I should but I'm paralyzed to do so".
We want to reach out to as many ppl as possible to be as clear as we can be and minimize confusion. Our new album comes out next Friday on digital and streaming. CDs start shipping on Friday. The vinyl versions start *shipping* on October 1st.
Welp. We thought we were going to do a last minute small pop-up performance today but the event got cancelled. Here's yours truly during practice the day before.
When people ask me what my favorite YWNKW song is, Milk is often not one that comes to mind right away. Now that Valerie and I have been revisiting, practicing, getting comfortable with songs we've never played before, I have been thinking about Milk a lot lately.
Oh, that's always tough. Here are 10 off the top of my head:
Slowdive - Just For A Day
Autechre - Anvil Vapre
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of the Seventh Son
Cocteau Twins - Blue Bell Knoll
Black Sabbath - Vol. 4

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker

@AphexTwin
Quite unlike anything else he's ever done, 'Windowlicker' is perhaps the most accessible and dancefloor-friendly track Richard D James has ever created.
