22 years ago today the #CRoWAct introduced the #FreedomToRoam In 2000 this was a HUGE step forward for walkers' rights & one we fought hard for. But today it covers only 8% of England & is not equally spread. We're launching a campaign to expand it 🥾🌲

A path through the estate of a country house near Ross-on-Wye has been successfully reinstated by the local authority, after a row over access led to peaceful protest in mid-July including local Ramblers 🚶 Read the story ➡️

Our path network is a national treasure & the main way most of us get into the outdoors. But preventable barriers are stopping many of us from getting out and enjoying nature. 🚫👨‍🦼🌳👩🏿‍🦯🦮 It’s time to unlock the outdoors for everyone. 🗝️🌳

Not good enough ⚠️ Today's agreement on #Dartmoor is encouraging progress but not enough. Our permissive rights today can be taken away tomorrow. The legal right to wild camp needs to be re-established & we'll support @dartmoornpa to achieve this. 🏕️ ➡️
