Whew.
Not only did I see a Nolan homerun, the return of Albert Pujols and Yadi’s last ever Opening Day…
The love of my life asked me to marry him in my favorite place on our favorite holiday.
I cried many MANY tears today. Best day of my life by far. 💍❤️
Just witnessed the coolest thing. Jose Iglesias played catch with 3 kids before the game, afterwards he shook all of their hands and signed all of their stuff. He gained a new fan today and much respect!

I’ve been a diehard Cards fan my entire life. I started a podcast, have gone to 30+ games a year for several years while living 4 hours away. I got engaged at Busch.
I refuse to waste my time/money anymore. The DeWitts’ comments don’t only affect the casuals. I’m so disgusted.
Does the Cardinals FO understand just how bad they’ve looked this year? Do they even care? Their handling of player relations has been nothing short of embarrassing, and somehow just keeps getting worse. I do not understand how they think that radio silence is their best move.
Driving to STL alone to my first ever playoff game, with Yadi and Albert on the brink of retirement. A lot of emotions hitting me today.
I refuse to believe this is the end. This team still has something left and I can’t wait to see what it is.
See you in 3 hours,
@Cardinals
🤟🏼
If I was Jack Flaherty, I’d want to get the fuck away from St. Louis as fast as I could. He does not deserve all of the hate he gets from Cardinal fans and it’s really gross to see.
There’s nothing wrong with this. What do y’all want him to say? I wanted to stay in STL but they didn’t want me enough to extend me?
He’s not on the team anymore. I am BEGGING Cardinal fans to not find a way to take issue with every single thing that comes out of this man’s mouth
Jack Flaherty, the newest Oriole: “It’s exciting to be on a good team. It’s exciting to be on a team that’s in it. There was a lot of promise in St. Louis; things didn’t work out. Sometimes that’s the way it goes. You can’t do much about it, and now it’s about moving forward.”
Breaking: The Rockies are trading Nolan Arenado to the Cardinals, first reported by The Athletic, confirmed by ESPN.
The Rockies are getting multiple players and sending upward of $50 million to St. Louis in the deal, sources said.
I usually try to keep my Twitter mostly about the Cardinals, but there are things I cannot and will not stay silent about. Some things are more important than baseball and the government attacking my reproductive rights is one of them.
The Cardinals are actually making moves this offseason for the first time in who knows how long and yet the fanbase continues to be completely insufferable. Take a breath, y’all. It’s NOVEMBER
My fear is this:
Firing 3 managers in less than 5 years is a bad look. Who would want to come here and become the next scapegoat for when they refuse to fire Mo?
Oli needs to go. But until John Mozeliak is gone, the Cardinals have much bigger problems.
Not trying to be dramatic, but baseball is the thing I love most in this world and I’m heartbroken. I plan my entire summer around making baseball trips every week so I’m feeling pretty lost. The world is shit right now and we NEED BASEBALL. We deserve it. This sucks.
Before the game, Nolan Arenado was asked what the Cardinals needed to do to turn the season around and be a contender. The first thing he said was that the starting pitchers have to pitch better. Then Waino promptly gave up 6 runs and got pulled in the 4th.
Going well so far!
Here’s my overreaction of the day:
I’m so tired of the Cardinals BILLIONAIRE owners acting like they’re broke. We needed pitching depth before Sonny Gray got hurt. Without him? Cooked. I’m getting 2023 flashbacks 😵💫
Let’s sit Nolan (even though he got thrown out of the third inning and got plenty of rest) and Goldy (even though he’s been DH the last 2 games) and also your “full time catcher” when you’re on the verge of losing 3/4 to the Reds and losing all of your momentum, sure
Flaherty carried us on his back for half the season, now it’s time to repay him. Win the next 2 games and let him start the NLCS. DO THIS FOR JACK HE’S PUT UP WITH SO MUCH
OH MY GOD. HERE WE GO AGAIN.
Watch the interview. This was completely taken out of context, he was not taking shots at STL, he was giving his props to Camden Yards.
Pathetic “MLB” Twitter accounts with their blue checkmarks and their clickbait headlines. Leave him ALONE ffs.
I don’t know what to say. I genuinely did not think it would end this way.
I do not have the words to say what Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols have meant to me as a baseball fan.
I’m really, really, really sad.
Thank you,
@Cardinals
.
This baseball season was one of the best of my entire life. I went to 30 games. I saw some of the most devastating losses and some of the most special moments. My favorite team in the world traded for my favorite player in entire league

I’m so sick of the Cardinals not even being mentioned in any FA signings or trade talks. The division is once again RIGHT THERE for the taking and Mo absolutely refuses to do anything about it. Why are we wasting another prime Goldy/Nolan year? Why is “almost there” good enough?
If someone doesn’t get fired IMMEDIATELY I hope we lose 100 games. I never thought I’d be in this position, but here we are.
Add me to the list of fans who do nothing but complain. I do not care. This is completely unacceptable and I’ve seen more than enough of this season.
For those of you saying that this is all Canada’s fault, if you do ONE SECOND of research you’ll learn that the US has literally the exact same vaccine requirements, you just don’t notice it because the entire Blue Jays team is vaxxed
So hypothetically speaking, if the Cardinals and Blue Jays make it to the World Series we’re going to be playing without our 2 best players?
Nah, fuck that. I’m furious.
