Don’t often talk shop but my company has just been shortlisted for an award based on my work. As someone who regularly suffers with imposter syndrome this has made my day 🥰 plus it’s my Friday…so I’m going to enjoy this 🥂 🙌🏻
This is just too perfect 1) playing to the exact stereotypes in the book
2) it wasn’t on Netflix 🤦🏼♀️
It’s almost as if
@neilhimself
wrote it 😂
#goodomens
As awful as the Gordon Elliot photo is, this is about a man, and a team of people who work at/with his yard, who I’m sure care deeply for the animals they are entrusted. In a sport troubled with mental health problems, we should trust the investigation and not start a witch hunt.
Another work post but a very, very proud moment for me last night, to win this. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved, never in a million years did I think we would win! ☺️
Safe to say we did a bit of celebrating last night 🙌🏻
As weekends go, this one was pretty good…a morning at Jackdaws Castle, lunch in a beautiful pub in the Cotswolds and then our work awards do in Bristol.
Now I’m looking forward to bed at 8pm 🥱😆
My first time getting dressed, putting makeup on and actually leaving the house for two weeks since this flu got me🤒🤧
It was for work but I’m treating this as a win. Also been shortlisted for another award so not a bad Wednesday in all 🥳🙌🏻
When you can get your 6 year old to take a photo for you 📷 🙌🏻
Not my usual Friday…CIPD Awards tonight. I’d be willing to forgive them for holding it on Gold Cup day if we win something 😆
I’ve had the best birthday present, ever!! My favourite boy, Denman! 🥺😍
Makes up for the fact that my youngest asked me if I was 48 today.
I’m 35.
So despite the fact I’ve aged 13 years overnight, I’m a very happy lady 🥰😆
@MartinSLewis
Theres nothing to be offended at by a man holding a door open for a woman, or walking on the outside of the pavement! My husband always does this, it’s what men SHOULD do and doesn’t imply superiority at all! It’s just good manners! But I would also hold a door open for anyone.
When does plotting a horse stop being ‘shrewd’ and turn into ‘bent’? The former is celebrated and the latter is crooked apparently.
Just seems bizarre that certain trainers are labelled as brilliant for plotting horses but today doing that was wrong?! 🤔 Where’s the line?
Does anyone know of any horse racing podcasts that aren’t betting focused - just talking about horses, stories etc? Probably a bit niche and I know I’m in the minority, but I love listening to people just talk about horses.
Looking for some entertainment during the commute! 😆
What a day 🤩 Thank you so much to the
@Coral
Racing Club for the most wonderful day at Cheltenham.
Brilliant racing, brilliant day. And I doubt I’ll ever get this close to the Gold Cup again, but a girl can dream!!
Aintree still to come…what a weekend of racing 🙌🏻 🐎
Having a brew and going back through yesterday’s results.
Every horse that finished in front of Kitty’s Light is a Grade 1 winner. What a little legend of a horse he is. As game as they come - he loves his racing ❤️
I’ve loved the last 3 days - thank you
@AintreeRaces
Debating whether to brave going racing alone tomorrow to see Carlo Du Berlais run at Worcester.
On one hand I’d be on my own, on the other I’d have peace and quiet, watching horses, with no one shouting Mam at me for a few hours. It’s sounding tempting…🤷🏼♀️
I think I could quite happily make a full time job of going racing in April. Aintree, Ayr, Perth, Sandown, Punchestown. It’s brilliant.
Might just book the month off next year…I love this time of year! 🤩🐎
Surely ITV could actually use this week to showcase horse racing in the build up to the GN…visiting yards, educating people in the care racehorses receive and the prep involved. The Chris Hughes pieces where he visits yards would be a great start!
Thank you
@EWilliamsRacing
and team for opening your yard for
#NationalRacehorseWeek
Had such a lovely morning, loved meeting so many horses and people!
If only every Sunday was like this! 😍
I’ve got goosebumps. That was absolutely wonderful!
I Am Maximus stormed home, and brilliant runs from Delta Work and Kitty’s Light - thought Kittys had a great chance jumping the last! Absolutely wonderful.
I loved that. And all safe home - the best news 🥰
#GrandNational2024
Hardening the legs up with a bit of road work!
I’m not a runner, I’m slow as a boat and I never thought I’d say I enjoyed a run, but this felt good today 💪🏼
*Disclaimer - not coffee 😆🍷
Side note and probably completely irrelevant unless you live in south Wales, but we just went down Rhonnda Heritage Park pit to see Santa and it was fabulous - worth a visit 🥰
Have had the most amazing few days, travelling to Hong Kong to speak at a conference for work. Completely out of my comfort zone but so glad I said yes!
Love this city - although I timed it badly with no Happy Valley! 🐎
Knackered, but happy. Home time now! ☺️
A sad read but a good one. Fair play to Bryan Cooper for being so honest here. It’s a tough sport and everyone is fighting their own battles that people don’t even know about.
Not a bad Thursday night!🏇🏼
Thankyou
@DragonBetWales
for a great evening talking all things Cheltenham and also had my first time joining the
@USOpodcast
which was both terrifying and exciting in equal measure 😆 but thankyou for having me!
Lovely to see everyone ☺️
I know I was looking forward to the jumps being back but not sure I wanted this weather to come with it. If anyone is at Chepstow today, come say hi…I’ll be the one in waterproofs and wellies!! 🙈☔️
Living my best life riding (and winning!) a chase around Chepstow. Not sure why I look like I’m dancing but I’d say Rachael Blackmore can rest easy 🙈🤣
@_LaurenWright_
sitting pretty clearly thinking she’s on CH🧊
Considering getting my license if theres any spares going 👀😆
@RacingPost
Bit of a misleading headline on this considering Willie Mullins trains both horses pictured, but he isn’t the trainer who was fined - and the fine was from an incident at Cork, not Limerick.
A bit wet and a bit wild would be the best way to describe today at Chepstow! ☔️
Typical Welsh National weather but a great day!!
Thankyou so much
@SiClare
@coral
@Chepstow_Racing
for your hospitality - we had a great day! 🏴
Just looking to get some dates in the diary and found this… 3 days racing for £33 - bargain!
These nights are always fun, well done
@Chepstow_Racing
👏🏻
Thankyou
@DragonBetWales
for a lovely day at
@FfosLasRC
with
@_LaurenWright_
It’s been a while since I’ve been this far down west but had a great day and lovely to catch up with some old friends!
Had a brilliant day
@Chepstow_Racing
. Great atmosphere, great racing and hopefully lots of money raised for a very worthwhile charity. And lots of great people there today too. Lush day ❤️🐎🏴
I’ve had a week in the sun, chasing kids around the splash park, but still managed to get my homework done
@paulfergusonJTF
😎
I’m ready for the rain, the cold, the mud and most of all, the jumps now 🐎😍
Oh Istabraq ❤️
32 years young and still absolutely full of life. If it was up to him he would probably take on Constitution Hill in this years Champion Hurdle 👀🤣
Loved seeing everyones photos from
#NationalRacehorseWeek
this week.
So generous of yards all over the country to take the time to show people behind the scenes. And for me it meant I could spend a morning getting my horse fix! 🥰
Well done and thank you to all involved 👏🏻
The only tickets worth buying this weekend! And I didn’t have to spend half my life waiting in a queue either… 😉
The jumps are almost back! 🙌🏻🤩
See you soon
@Chepstow_Racing
@Lauren_Maz_
Would recommend this to anyone!
So many yards are generous enough to give their time to show people around and let us meet their horses. We had the best morning last year!
Just need to choose where to go this year now… 🤔
📣ONE MONTH TO GO📣
The best week of the year,
#NationalRacehorseWeek
kicks off in just one month’s time!🙌
Have you booked your visit yet?
Why not find out more about life after racing, and where to visit a retraining centre here:
If they recognise it’s complicated…why isn’t racing doing something to make it easier in future?! We moved two Welsh Nationals when I was at Chepstow…get me on the phone and I’ll sort it out 😆
🗣️ "People don’t know how the intricacies work. It is really complicated in order to get that kind of thing done."
🏇❌
@Ascot
rule out moving weekend card to Sunday and Monday...
Oh
@punchestownrace
we 💚 you!! Never disappoints. Love seeing friends from previous years and meeting new ones. Laughed from the minute we got on the plane till we got home
@_LaurenWright_
One year we might have a few early nights but it wasn’t this time…😆
What a GRAND servant 🖤🩷
Cap Du Nord was the oldest horse in the feature handicap chase but that didn't stop him banging in career win number 🔟.
The long trip north for
@CWilliamsRacing
has proved well worth it!

@PerthRacecourse
Haven’t been feeling the Cheltenham hype myself this year but I’m happy I made good life choices for once by booking it off to watch!
There’s always some magic at Cheltenham. If you’re there - good luck, enjoy it and don’t forget to let us know the price of a Guinness!! 🍀🏇🏼🍻
Baby blood donation number 21 done 🩸 ☑️
Look forward to doing this every few months. Thank you for another quick and easy donation
@WelshBlood
and thank you to the staff at the Caerphilly clinic who were all lovely!
Every donation can save lives, please donate if you can.
Love how excited everyone is for jumping to start again proper. I am here for it 🙌🏻 Really looking forward to
@Chepstow_Racing
on Friday
@_LaurenWright_
🤩🐎
Wishing everyone a happy, and most importantly, a healthy new year!✨
Thankyou to everyone who made my 2023 🫶🏻 it’s had it’s ups and downs, but very lucky to have made so many amazing memories.
Do more of what makes you happy, less of what doesn’t, and I’ll see you in 2024! X
Another fantastic day at
@CheltenhamRaces
yesterday. Some great finishes and finally got to see beautiful Delta Work in the flesh.
Highlight of the day had to be Minella Missile 💚🏴 absolutely screamed him home!
Brilliant day ☺️
@kezz1927

@LeeMazy09
🏆 Denman remains one of the most successful horses to run in the Coral Gold Cup at
@NewburyRacing
.
As a part of the training team at the time,
@DSkeltonRacing
tells us all about the highs and the lows and the incredible story behind a phenomenal horse 👇
I’m well and truly down a Monkfish rabbit-hole. How is it possible to love a horse so much that you’ve never met. He’s so precious. 🥹
So hoping to see a glimpse of him in his new career on Saturday 😍
This is the face of a dog trying to convince me that she hasn’t already been given breakfast by her father. She’s caught us out plenty of times before! 🥺🐷
Feel a bit funny saying about having a good day at the races after so much negativity. I really love this sport and the beautiful animals at its centre. But yes…we had a bloody great day yesterday at Chepstow, the sun was shining & the horses looked beautiful 😍
All is forgiven for holding an awards do on Gold Cup day!!
Work post sorry, but so surprised and proud! Didnt think we had any chance of winning against professional peers with teams who specially focus on this, but we did 🥺
Thank you
@jasonmohammad
for hosting a great night!
So racing is spending £Ks trying to promote the sport to new audiences, whilst also making it more difficult for people to go racing. Who’s going to go racing for 10am? Plus the impact on racing staff getting there.
Am I missing something because I just don’t get it 🤦🏼♀️
