With this betrayal theme, I’m not just hoping to showcase great writing talent, I’m also hoping to bring people together like a literary meet and greet. Not a lot I can do from Japan, but I can do this and I’m happy to see it working 😉
Ok peeps, ready to go again? We're open for general subs on any subject and in any shape or form - as long as it's under 1k words - FOR THE NEXT 24H. Send us your stuff! Please add a short bio and optional pic along to your sub and send it to punknoirmag

What with health concerns kicking the shit out of my mental lately, I’ve not written a word nor felt the compulsion to…
One BIG positive point lately that has really brought some joy to me has been the response to the Punk Noir themes. Every one of you. Thank you
Hi All,
Due to the unforeseen deluge of truly outstanding submissions I’m going to have to close this submission theme down on Friday 26th of April.
Had no idea I was going to receive over a hundred submissions in the first 24 hours with half of those submissions being accepted

LIMBO is NOW CLOSED
178 submissions in 3 days.
52 acceptances.
So many really great stories, this month was really tough.
If you got a rejection I’m sorry but please try again for my next 200 word theme.
Can’t wait to share these awesome takes on LIMBO next month.
Supporting & boosting fellow writers is similar to holding the door open for folks behind you when you’re in public. Some will notice and appreciate it. Others won’t.
But you never hold the door open because you’re expecting a nod or something in return anyway. It’s just decent.
This Month saw an absolute line-up of raw talent showcasing their skills in Limbo. Loved every story I published but my top three favorites this month were:
JP Relph
Barlow Adams
Russell Thrayer
There you have it, folks.
68 takes on Betrayal by 68 awesome writers.
Hope everyone dug the stories as much as I did.
I’ll be back with the next 200 word theme — LIMBO in July.
Cheers
Steve

Just woke up to another 30 BETRAYAL Submissions. Nearly 200 subs in 2 days!!
With such a short word count a lot of the submissions read like noir poetry. Dig it.

I think I might do a short window submissions call soon. Possibly over the next couple of days. Maybe a picture prompt. Maybe a word prompt. Maybe no prompt at all. Either way, keep your eyes peeled, we're coming for your words. Bx
