It kind of amazes me how often upper class Copts dismiss classist, racist languages in the US against the benefit of “lower class” Copts. The upper class is so invested in whiteness and assimilation that they’re refusing to acknowledge problems in the US.

This is the bottom line! Working class and underprivildged Copts are still facing oppression in Egypt and in the US, while MB is not in power in Egypt and Trump is in power in the US. Reasons: #inequity , lack of #socialjustice #SocialSecurity , #racism and more in both US & Egypt.

We have Copts in Nashville who don’t sleep on beds, who are undocumented, who are fleeing abusive spouses and need shelter. We have orphans and dozens dead because of COVID-19. And to come on Twitter and see y’all act like this ain’t right. 8/
