Announcement: I will teach you Zero Knowledge Proofs. Eight Zoom classes over the next 4 weeks. 100% free (I'm doing this for fun in my free time). Reply or dm if interested.
@GothamChess
"This is completely insane!" I say as I get attacked by two rooks (the cops). My favorite streamer had just reached 1700 elo and I decided to celebrate by running it down mid (the US Capitol Building). Now I'm hardstuck in jail for life, but at least I have time to watch tyler1!
One month ago,
@armaniferrante
challenged me to become a Solana dev in one month. I don't know why I was worried. There are actually so many good resources. Here are my favorites 👇
Someone who took my ZK class just got funding for their own ZK project. My reaction: 1) This is amazing and I'm so happy for this person 2) If I can make a difference like this, maybe I should spend more time teaching people ZK 😂
Last ZK class will be on Thursday. Free NFTs will be given out to everyone who attends. Here are some of the lessons I've learned from this experience: (1/4)
7/ c. Most importantly! We don't take into account bytes/tx amortization as batch sizes grow and transaction compression mechanisms are implemented!
As you can see this has a HUGE effect on bytes per tx on BOTH TDRs and SDRs.
I'm surprised how many builders are losing faith because they don't like degens.
I care about privacy, security, & censorship-resistance so I'm going to keep building on those things. Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In My Lane. Focused. Flourishing.
Disclaimers: 1) I've never given this class before, so expect a bit of a mess 2) I want people to be able to ask questions, so if the class size gets too big I’ll probably set a limit
✅ 2,000 builders have already signed up for Cohort 1, have you?
🏆 There’s 500,000 USDC and 500,000 MINA up for grabs for top projects!
It’s not too late to register:
Thankful for Mina for running these cohorts. Building on Mina helped me understand ZK better, which has already had a big impact on my career. Consider joining if you are zkCurious
You can build decentralized applications that solve real-world problems and leverage ZK proofs in zkIgnite, Cohort 2 ⚡️
Here are 3 things you need to know about the Mina incubator program 🧵

Best books I read in 2023:
Non-technical:
-Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
-Things Hidden by Rene Girard
Technical:
-Rust Atomics and Locks by Mara Bos
-The Hash Function BLAKE by Aumasson et al.
I'm hosting a panel at the ZK Mini Summit. These people are my heroes. I have a million questions for each of them, but we'll focus on just one: Will ZK rule everything around us?

If 3 hours of learning about ZK sounds like fun, then we’ve got just the thing.
Attend the ZK Mini Summit at
@EthereumDenver
on February 28th from 3-6pm MST 🗓️
Come through. All you need is an ETHDenver ticket! 👉
We’ll get technical on SNARKs, zkML,
I tend to disappear from social media while I'm learning something, and just come back to post results. I should do a better job of posting along the way
Our ZKP MOOC () has been really exciting with ~3500 enrolled globally!
Today we're thrilled to announce a new ZKP/web3 hackathon, open to the public, March 1-May 2, virtual & in-person

Hardware teams are invited to join the zkSync Era prover network to help make this critical ZK rollup operation more censorship-resistant.

9/ That's all. Everything was a lot easier than I expected. My best advice is to get started and ask questions (I'm very excited for StackOverflow). Wagmi.
Good book! Behind the scenes view of NIST's SHA3 competition. Also explains many design choices like the counter, endian-ness, and more. Recommend 10/10
4/ Soldev was probably my most important resource. Just start following tutorials, and within days you will feel ready to start coding on your own. Shoutout to
@jacobvcreech
@jamesrp13
and everyone else who contributes.
2/ Using account abstraction and zero-knowledge proofs, we’ve built a private account layer that lets users send, receive, and transact with their funds, all without exposing their address. Check out our docs to see how it works:
Here's what I recommend to study:
1. Practice Rust. The circuits are all written in Rust.
2. Get familiar with common ZK terminology such as circuits, constraints, and gates.
3. Learn about common ZK bugs:
3/ When you are ready for Solana, read "The Anchor Book". Probably better than the official Solana Docs. The PDAs section is best explanation of PDAs that I've found.
So, we are VERY happy to announce the WINNERS of the world's first Quantum CTF

Thank you
@ChainLight_io
for keeping us safe! Our team really appreciates you. If you want to learn more about a critical bug in our circuits that we recently patched, the writeup explains everything nicely.

On September 15th, we discovered and reported a critical bug in

Era's ZK-Circuits that could have drained all the tokens passing through the bridge.
This bug allows a malicious prover to produce "proofs" for invalidly executed blocks, which the verifier

8/ Lastly, things I didn't like: 95% of developer youtube videos felt like a waste of time. Too much talking about unimportant details. Also, I dislike tutorials that are just "copy/paste and press run". I'd rather make another counter program from scratch.
3. The best part is all the new friends. I've talked to over 1000 people and had some of the coolest conversations with builders, founders, VCs, students, professors, and more. I'm now super optimistic about the future. Wagmi
5/ When tutorials feel too simple, go to your favorite open source Solana project and read their code. Metaplex is one of my favorites because I love NFTs.
The same speakers are at every conference, but I've thought of a solution:
If we consider panel permutations to be unique, we could have at least 4!=24 times as many conferences with the same speakers
1. My videos are garbage (slow, bad production quality, and several inaccurate statements). Instead of livestreaming a new lecture every 3 days, I think it'd be better to take the time to make high quality videos
@Jason
So you are saying you will have written a smart contract on a ZK L2 which will check for a construction permit being issued , which in turn will create and send me an NFT that unlocks and delivers 250k in USDC when the oracle checks property and utility records and
1/ 📢 Introducing zkIgnite, Cohort 1 ⚡️
This 3-month program aims to support the most ambitious developers and entrepreneurs building zkApps and tooling on Mina Protocol.

This isn't uncommon in cybersecurity. In 1986, Cliff Stoll found a 75 cent accounting error, tracked it all the way to a KGB agent, and got him arrested
