i started learning to code properly because i was pissed off. y'all know i used to run a restaurant, right? In a good month, my restaurant used to do about $12k in delivery revenue alone (after the platforms' 35%+ cut). This means ~$6k/m went to the platforms.

$6k is a HUGE sum for a small, neighbourhood restaurant. We could've hired 2-3 more staff with that money. Still, we were on every platform available because we felt like we had no choice. The food/tech scene was changing (circa 2015-16); we needed to keep up. [2/9]
