splitting: due to black and white thinking and abandonment issues, borderlines tend to often split on their loved ones, this is, going from idealization/love, to sometimes a disconnect or extreme hatred towards them. In my experience, this can happen when abandonment is sensed.
mirroring: individuals with bpd often tend to imitate their loved ones (often their fp), liking the same things they like, saying stuff they say or even actions/gestures of theirs, this can also be seen in appearance, with style and etc.

symptoms of mania: insomnia (decreased need for sleep), change in eating habits, impulsivity, overconfidence, increased energy, talkativeness, being easily distracted and racing thoughts.
favorite person: its pretty common for people with bpd to have a favorite person, not like a regular favorite person, but with extreme idealisation and dependency on them. It can be multiple people, a best friend, a parent, partner, etc...

bpd episode vs mania: although these are similar, mania is a characteristic of bipolar disorder. These episodes on the other hand have to last at least one week and can last from weeks to years.
bpd episode: these episodes can last from hours to months, where bpd symptoms, such as impulsivity, anger, emotional instability, sh, etc, are accentuated.
