@toothpickisgay An older gay friend of mine was reminiscing over the weekend about how they used to be a lot more exclusive. It was also during a time when gay bars were in terrible parts of town that people tended to avoid anyway. So, I dunno, I guess sacrifices were made. Can't say much on it.

Something special about this community is the fact that you can crash with a few random strangers from around the world, vibe for a while, eat lunch together one day, and then carry on with life after the con is over. I've experienced it a few times already, and it's just so cool
