Milton Friedman is to blame for the idea that companies exist to maximize shareholder value. So many good companies were destroyed, including my wonderful community bank, swallowed by a bigger one for just that reason.
@itsJeffTiedrich
Who bribed CNN for this story? Biden was mostly working. Trump was playing golf and charging exorbitant rates for secret service to stay at his properties.
@mjsully999
@Malinowski
Uh uh. Inflation is global and you know it, and lower in the US than most places. In turkey it's running 80 percent. Recent reports indicate inflation is moderating due in part to democrats efforts to solve supply chain problems.
@duty2warn
I had the impression that Italy was a net beneficiary of European union membership. But sure, go it alone. Same sentiment can be found in most red states in the US.

Over 20 years ago I took my son to Penn state for orientation. On the way back we stopped for dinner in Central PA. I thought I had wandered onto the set of Deliverance.
@itsJeffTiedrich
Nope. That's what fascists do. The truth is that Trump’s crimes are so massive we haven't even gotten through the top layer. I'd be happy to stop there temporarily. I want his base to come to terms with that, too.
@DonLew87
Don't forget that PRACTICALLY EVERY gop elected official failed to acknowledge Biden’s win, except for Mitt Romney. Only a few did after electoral college certification in December, and of course many never did. Were they in on something, too?
@donnastowe1
@Le202nard
Their last two picks were clearly subpar. I dislike gorsuch, but aside from the fact that they stole the seat, I don't have the same level of concern. Who paid off Kavanagh's debts?
@CalltoActivism
Looks like it helped all voters. Helped a couple of my kids. The other two bear no resentment for paying off theirs. The BIG deal how is repayment rules have changed so borrowers are no longer strangled by repayment terms.
@duty2warn
How about the 100 or more members of congress who conspired? Frankly every republican in congress except mitt Romney was complicit at some level. Why else did they refuse to acknowledge the election result when it was called? Start with Lindsey Graham.
@RachelBitecofer
Well I am mad at Bernie for promising jam every day back in 2016, and at the people who refused to vote because they weren't getting jam. I truly think we will eventually find out, though, that many voters were discouraged by Russian operatives. Thanks, FB.
@SethAbramson
@GeoRebekah
I've watched Biden respond in unscripted situations. My conclusion is that I wouldn't want to get in an argument with him. Trump can't even follow a telepromter.

Ukraine priorities are our priorities. Think about appeasement of Hitler before wwii. My dad served in that war. Anyway almost all that money is spent here.

We watch msnbc but it is almost all politics at the expense of general news. It is politics through a liberal filter but not lying. I used to watch cnn for general news but no more.

@JoeBiden
Nope. He is doing the job that needs to be done. It took two years to prosecute Watergate. Trump’s pervasive corruption and corrupting influence makes Watergate look like a picnic.
@JoJoFromJerz
One of our fire companies was shut down when it was found to be infested with proud boys. They were Removed and the company was re-opened
@djrothkopf
Why is that a surprise? I am pretty sure many other societal negatives would hold as well. How about divorce, spousal abuse, teenage pregnancy for starters? I haven't checked but I am sure the stats are out there.
@MuellerSheWrote
I listened to all the folks outraged that garland wasn't moving faster to indict. I figured the investigation was bigger than we imagined. I didn't know it was bugger than we CAN imagine!
@RadioFreeTom
@JVLast
Yeah pretty much. The folks who decry the erosion of morals typically come from places where the rot is advanced. Red states lead in murder, divorce, spousal abuse, and almost any other social ill.

Honestly why would he travel to his VA golf course like this? Hard to tell from the video but his body language says he is not happy.

Yeah there was a tweet that made it clear we will never be out of the woods. Omicron killed huge numbers of people. The IFR was low, but many times more people got infected. What will the next variant do to us? Oh and you can be sure the cdc will catch hell for new mandates.
@NathanMackBrown
For some yes. Anyone who went to a public university for sure. Those got defunded by state legislatures almost everywhere. I paid 1500 a year long ago, and that was out of state. Not 15000.

@AshaRangappa_
Well I had a friend that had a serious stroke in her 30s. She recovered well, but almost 15 years later she knows she is not 100 percent. It did not keep her from a successful professional career. A number of other politicians have had strokes, too. We didn't get this coverage.

He uses the same verbal boilerplate for every topic, such as "____ like no one has ever seen before". Totally vacant of thought, like Chance in "Being There".
@NGrossman81
Obstructiin in the Mueller probe by Trump would have been indictable for anyone not president. Russia had a multi-prong attack that may not have relied on whatever information manafort was sending them. Collusion probably was not critical. I assume they were promoting Sanders too
@TRyanGregory
I don't get it. There is evidence that the virus attacks the immune system itself, at least in adults. If true for children, does that mean we could face a future where many folks will be immunocompromized?
@joncoopertweets
Only if you collect all the weapons in circulation. I just listened to gov. Abbott wonder why there are so many shootings lately. I learned to shoot a rifle 60 years ago. It could shoot one bullet at a time with no magazine. That's why. It was for hunting not killing people.
@DeepState_sat
@NoLieWithBTC
Vegan, are we? I don't eat critters so that's close to my diet. I think the proposal is a mean one. It takes a lot of planning to thrive on a vegan diet. Dairy is needed by most families. Most canned fish is gross.
@BleyJoe
@JoJoFromJerz
The main event was the overwhelming defeat in Kansas of an amendment to permit abortion bans. Bear in mind this was timed by the gop to maximize republican turnout, so the sentiment against the amendment is probably even stronger. Don't tell them, though.
@djrothkopf
Thanks for the enumeration of crimes and other misdeeds. And to think we once obsessed over the pee tape and stormy daniels. That all seems quaint now.
@Doomscroller83
@RadioFreeTom
Oh, come on. My luddite wife has a recent model laptop and doesn't use a Microsoft account. Some tech folks are saying it's a bad idea anyway, so it can't be a requirement.

Lots of them. The job attracts that personality. Our city SHUT DOWN a fire company not long ago when it was found to be infested with proud boys, and the chief refused to fire them. They removed those folks and reopened the company. I'm sure other folks are more discreet.

What? I trust this is a joke. The campaign was cooperating with Russia during the 2016 election, though it is unclear that it was criminal. Of course commercial ties are well known.
