I had sold this painting for $150 + shipping $80 in 2017 Now it was resold for 0.5 btc (almost 15 000 usd) in London on @scarcedotcity Just for physical painting So it’s about x100 in 6 years what is pretty good for traditional art market and for crypto also I'm very proud

Now many of my experiences seem ridiculous but then I was terribly sensitive and could hardly cope with that load. In addition, I was afraid that Pepe would "go out of fashion" and that I would be out of a job. Many people advised to start painting other memes..How funny it’s now

So with oil painting I did better than with drawing. I decided to copy some painting to learn but was scared to draw a human head bc it has too complicated shape. So I replace it with Pepe. It brought some fun to work and the result could be a good New Year's gift for friends.

I realized that pics of me and paintings are more popular than just pics of paintings. On the one hand it became a great promotional tool, on the other hand it caused a lot of hate, terrible comments about my body. Every offensive comment was taken seriously and re-read 100 times

Since then, I had a total of about 3 days in 6 years when I did not have orders for paintings. I sold a lot of copies, worked 12+ hours a day, was terribly worried and even ashamed that I would not be able to make cool painting because I started doing this all just 6-7 months ago

Today I gave a workshop for "Best Buddies Russia" - a charity that helps people with intellectual difficulties. We painted Pepe in velvet jacket with golden embroidery (yes, on canvas!) I think the guys caught some Pepe mood in their paintings.

For my birthday, my grandmother sent me two used canvases. She said I can paint anything on top. One of them was Jesus by her authorship (she knew nothing about painting, the canvas did not even have a primer). This is where my first Pepe will appear .
