Bakit viral ito sa Facebook??? This is so unnecessary. Publish it sa isang preprint server tapos sa isang journal for peer review. Walang magagawa mga pulitko diyan. At bakit may mga nagtatag ng RTIA??? WTF
I think one of the biggest upsides of the pandemic is that there are now a lot of geology lecture videos available on Youtube. Here are some of the geology channels I found ๐งต
Laging tandaan na geologic processes operate at a different timescale than humans.
Website ๐
@michelle_dob

Pwede niyo kaming i-follow sa Facebook or Youtube. Link down below ๐
Sen. Raffy Tulfo really filed almost 50 cases against this lawyer and 32 of those cases are now dismissed because they are nuisance suits. Lol what a pathetic senator
Let's celebrate and recognize the invaluable contributions of our Filipina scientists to science and research. Listen to the works of Dr. Noelynna Ramos, Ms. Shyrill Mariano, Dr. Grace Gregorio, Dr. Maricor Soriano, and Dr. Michelle Eusebio in the Behind The Science Podcast
This video explains the modeling results and demonstrates just how devastating the effects of a powerful tsunami from the Manila Trench could be.

I failed an undergraduate class 2x. This was a prerequisite course to a major subject in my Master's degree. This undergraduate class was eventually removed as a prerequisite and I think it was because of me. I sacrificed myself for the greater good LMAO
Flex your lowest academic low score.
To remind us that almost everyone fails at some point in life but it isn't the end of the road. Just a memory in the end.
Mine was 27/100 in Engineering Math 2, just a year after I'd scored 99 in 12th boards. Much needed kick in my butt.
This is my first time seeing a surface rupture! You can see the right-lateral displacement of the fens and a minor vertical displacement because of the 2016 Kaikลura earthquake

, and I can now proudly say that I managed to publish 1 article for every UP project that I worked on! Read here:
Disappointed that
@lamaveproject
would publicize their work this way. This is not the "first ever

Since we are talking about predatory journals, why do we not consider journals that charge thousands of dollars for open access? Oh right, it's because they are 'prestigious high impact journals' ๐คท๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Is going to conference presentations worth it?
Yes! It increases citing of
1. Papers you are interested in by 52% (direct effect)
2. Other papers in same session by 51% (serendipity effect)

It's so frustrating to be a researcher in the PH. I am yet to receive my salary of almost 4 months now and there is still no assurance when it will be given. Maybe in 2? 3? more months but youre still expected to be on top of all deliverables and survive this economy.

Satellite images from 1990 to 2022 acquired by Landsat capture how Sungyot Island in La Union formed. It is actually NOT AN ISLAND, but rather a landform known as a SPIT.

So happy to share the 2nd & 3rd paper I published during my master's! We examined the changes in shoreline position after a flood canal was constructed and compared it with long-term changes by using a combination of historical maps and Landsat images.

Dec 2020, may pa-meeting pa si Chancy sa Alliance of STEM Graduate Students and Workers regarding delayed salary, wala naman nangyari. Nagpasko kami noon na walang sahod
No pay, no work.
I will be at my poster later at

The deadliest tsunami in the Philippines was the 1976 Moro Gulf tsunami. It occurred after midnight while people were asleep and killed almost 5,000. More than 2,000 went missing and 10,000 were injured.

You can check this review paper of Delos Reyes et al. (2018)
