I once worked on a game that had 100% positive reviews for a LONG time after launch. Someone finally gave it a negative review admitting the game was excellent but that "no game should have perfect reviews" and thus they were compelled to rate negative. I'm STILL mad about it.

I'm taking this as a small mark of success: our first Crow Country negative Steam review saying it's overrated! Bound to happen sometime! The thing with Steam's review system is, 99% doesn't mean everyone thinks it's 9.9/10, it means that 99% of people think it's at least 6/10.

GDC is an EXPENSIVE event that is inaccessible for many people as a result, especially those outside of the US. While it is true that meeting folks at events like this can provide a lot of opportunities, I want to stress that it is not the be-all, end-all of the industry.
