Incredibly powerful, difficult, inspiring, moving, poignant piece tonight with Richie & Julieka on
#TheTown
We can never get Dinny back, but we can help others. We're here to listen, we want to help. Let us help
Thinking of you both ❤️❤️💚💛❤️❤️
Hey
@buff_egan
, what do you make of our our new Hurling Ball Wall? Thanks to
@LittlewoodsIRL
for the amazing prize, absolutely beautiful! Call up some day for a puck!
#styleofplay
Thanks so much to Laois Manager John Sugrue for taking time out of his busy schedule to coach our U13 footballers tonight for over an hour. John spoke to our youngsters before and after the session and we can’t thank him enough for his generosity.
The club would like to extend their best wishes to senior team captain Mark Delaney and his bride to be Eileen Scanlon on their wedding day today. May they live a happy & healthy life together
Well done to Podgie Dunne who made his senior debut for Laois today in their O’Byrne Cup defeat away to Wexford. Coming on at half time, Podgie put in a battling performance and acquitted himself well. Great to see a clubman in the Laois Senior jersey again.
Very very proud of these two young men. Great to see Sean get his first cap with Connacht, even more special that Eoghan was waiting for him when he came on the field. Well done boys, onwards and upwards!
Loving this photo from the weekend, Santa came to visit during our U10's hurling game with Scoil Ui Chonall Clontarf and challenged the players to a bit of fun. Unsure if they've caught him yet...!
No shame in the defeat today and John can walk proud given what he’s given to his players and Laois Football supporters this year. Thanks John, and here’s to driving on on 2019.
Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church Ratheniska on Sunday 17th of December at 10am in loving memory of Denis Cahill whose 1st Anniversary occurs around this time.
May he Rest In Peace.
Thanks to
@LittlewoodsIRL
for our incredible Ball Wall Mural, when we built the Ball Wall back in 2016 we had ideas for designs on it but this has exceeded our wildest imagination! Credit to the talented guys in
@alloutdesign
for the work, our boys & girls love it!
@officialgaa
We are hugely grateful to Enda Downey Engineering for his very generous donation of custom made gym gear for our new gym facilities, a welcome addition even though we have to bide our time before we can get to unveil the full project due to current restrictions.
Well done to Laois on their League Final won today! Special mention to our adopted Kerryman, John Sugrue and Brendan Pulper Delaney. Great to see John and Conor celebrating afterward, enjoy guys!
Well done & massive congratulations to our own coach/mentor & friend Richie Reid on his completion of the Dublin City Marathon this morning on a seriously impressive time of 2 hrs 56 mins.
A true inspiration & we're very proud of you Richie
Huge thanks to John Sugrue & all at Laois Physiotherapy Clinic for their kind sponsorship of jerseys for our under 9 footballers this season. They will certainly be kitted out in style

The Club would like to pay tribute to our Sponsor Brian Kelly Building Services who has donated each player the jersey they wore in Friday nights intermediate final. An incredibly generous and thoughtful gesture.
Ahead of our 2019 Hurling Coaching starting on Sunday 13th Jan at 11:30AM in Ratheniska, we’re going to put up some daily tips and advice for both coaches and parents alike. It’s important to know how best to support your budding athlete, help them, encourage them, nurture them.
Congratulations to John, Brendan and the Laois Panel today on securing promotion from Division 4 with today’s win in Carlow. See you all in Croker next Saturday! 🚂🚂🚂

Well done to
@daggerlang
on a memorable day for Tipperary GAA, Martin was part of Maurice Deegans team of umpires & will surely cherish the memory of this one.
Pictured is Dagger with Tipp captain Conor Sweeney.
Happy 90th birthday to this club legend. Eddie Mansworth has seen a lot in his 90 years & maybe none stranger than the current times that we live but we at the club would encourag all to wish Eddie all the best in achieving this milestone & pass on well wishes
Happy 90th Eddie.
Best of luck to Tommy Moore who will take the whistle in Sunday’s Laois Midlands Park Minor Football Final. It’s great to see Tommy progress up the refereeing ladder in Laois.
The Club would like to thank Colm Casey of Ballymaddock Construction for his generous sponsorship of Half Zips for our 2021 Intermediate Football panel. We’re very lucky with the support we have locally for our Club & we encourage all to support local business where possible.

Best of luck to the Laois senior hurlers who sleep out in Lyster Square Portlaoise tonight. If you're in the area, drop down and support them and leave a donation. The lads will be starting at 10PM as they have a training session first. Fair play lads!
@GaelicVoices4Ch
An historic day for ourselves and Timahoe tomorrow morning when our new hurling amalgamation takes to the field for the first time. Throw in at Ratheniska is 11am against St Fintans Mountrath in the CLG Laois ACHL 3.
Some of our Intermediate Football champions received a brilliant reception from the staff & pupils of Ratheniska NS this morning and were more than delighted to share with them both the Intermediate trophy & the Junior "A" 2020 trophy.
When Paddy Dunne (
@parkratheniska
) lined out against Dublin in the NFL in 1960, he was making his 50th league appearance.
At the time, he was only the second Laois player to reach the mark after Jack Delaney in 1938.
We want to say a massive thank you to
@pauldargan
of
@signanddesignkk
who generously donated to us a copy of his excellent photograph taken at the Intermediate County Final
It now takes pride of place in our clubhouse

We had a wonderful mornings entertainment in Ratheniska as our Mens & Ladies Footballers put on an exhibition of football with the U25s edging it 2-10 to 4-07 & take home the Joe Ramsbottom Perpetual Cup. For a good cause too as €413 was raised on the day for
@Cuislecancer
We are thrilled with this news just coming out this evening...it's brilliant news for Dan, Niall & Aisling.
The absolute joy & feeling of community that this campaign has brought to our club & to Gaels throughout Laois will be talked about for years to come

Congrats to John, Brendan and the

As a club we are hugely proud of everything that John & Brendan have achieved over the last 2 years. We would like to thank them for their service & dedication to the CLG Laois jersey & giving us some memorable days in Croke Park & even a trip to London along the way.
We would like to offer our heartiest best wishes to Rory Delaney, Sports Editor of
@Express_Sport
as he moves onto pastures new. A great friend to all of us here, Rory will be a very hard man to replace & the Laois GAA scene will be a lesser place without his talents & sharp wit.
Congratulations our man Dan Downey competing in the AAA championship in Birmingham & representing Ireland. Dan won his heat this morning in the 800m and is through to the finals tomorrow
Best of luck tomorrow Dan

A difficult start in tough conditions for Laois but a night of note for our own Richie Hitchcock who made his senior intercounty debut for Laois. Well done Richie, hopefully the start of a long journey for you.
An incredible evening at our a Club Forum with close to 100 showing up to help map the next decade for our Club. Thank you all for making the effort and to Liam O’Neill for helping run the night.
