Farm Manager interests no till,cover crops,healthy soils, FCCT soil farmer of the year 2017 Arable innovator of the year19 Sustainable farmer of the year 2020
Lesser spotted woodpecker ringed on farm this morning( red data species), just showing how we can live in harmony with Mother Nature and produce healthy food at the same time !
#regenerative
farming has to be the way forward for this world in which we live
#biodiversity
Mix variety milling wheat
No soil applied N
No Fungicides
No insecticides
No PGR
Just nutrition and biology
Nature has all the answers we just need to work together
First white throat ringed on the farm this morning with 157 linnets and 87 yellow hammers ringed over the last few months all red data species, which shows how
#regenerativeagriculture
is helping to reverse the decline in birds by working with nature not against her
Crusoe wheat coming in yesterday at 14.5 moisture
11t/ ha
No seed dressing home saved seed
No insecticides
Fungicide at T1
T2/3 biology and nutrition
Total N 180kg/ha
Well chuffed
Sights like this need to be a thing of the past imo we need to keep water and soil on the fields along with nutrients the more carbon sequestration we can achieve the more water we can retain there is no planet B together we can make a difference
DD OSR ( canola) drilled on the 4/9/21 the field was crawling with CSF beetle on the day of drilling but with the correct added nutrition the plant becomes unpalatable to the beetle ime nutrition and biology have all the answers for a healthy future
Last 55 acre of conventional wheat (group1 blend)today coming in at 9.2t/ha from 72kg/ha of N (50kg soil applied)plus amino acids no fungicides/insecticides or growth regulators, just nutrition and biology in what was a high septoria year makes for a content happy farmer😁
Early drilled winter wheat no seed dressings no insecticides no herbicides other than
#glyphosate
hoping to be able to take this through to harvest without herbicides or fungicides just nutrition and biology
A really enjoyable afternoon today filming with
@tomheapmedia
and celebrating his new book which is released on Wednesday featuring some brilliant farmers
Winter wheat blend still going strong with no insecticides no fungicides 20kg of soil applied N 36 kg of foliar applied N just balanced nutrition and biology creating a very low carbon footprint crop on
#WorldEnvironmentDay
@TheGreenFarmCo1
Heritage wheat coming along nicely 😁
No slug pellets used now for 3 years once you get soil functioning and the plant has the right nutrition the garbage disposal unit is not needed😜
#intelligentfarming
Foliar fed wheat receiving some nice golden sunshine for a change ! It has been such a testing spring this year with very little sunshine and high disease pressure! But still no fungicides applied just the correct nutrition to keep the plant balanced and healthy 😁
One of the positives of having a blocked drain...I get to see just how deep my worms are going down to a metre.what a brilliant dedicated work force, some of nature’s finest
Direct drilled planet S Barley 20 kg of soil applied N 18 kg of foliar applied N no fungicides no seed treatments no insecticides is that carbon friendly enough
@TheGreenFarmCo1
Just applied nutrition and biology nature has all the answers ( together we can make a difference)
Busy pollinators today on osr ( canola)
No added insecticides
No added fungicides
21kg of soil applied N
Just foliar nutrition balanced out by leaf/sap tests and naturally occurring added biology making for a happy/healthy planet and farmer 😜
Spring beans in August 😳 no insecticides/ fungicides or herbicides other than post drilling glyphosate not a bruchid beetle in sight 😜 averaging 4.8t/ ha which I am happy with considering the lack of rain this season ( anyone think I was storing more water these days 😁)
56kg of applied N
wheat coming in from 8.2/ha on the light ground 9.2 / on the heavier parts it is the lightest field on the farm but happy with that in reflection from the spring it had to endure 😎
W wheat going into green cover along with applied living biology to fix nitrogen and release phosphorus and fight off disease. Lovely conditions a real treat
Drilling Beans today with the new air cushioned crimper roller from TT engineering Radish still flowering which early pollinators have enjoyed on the warmer days !
@TheGreenFarmCo1
#biodiversity
New life emerging still gets me every year wheat planted with brewed biology to fix nitrogen and release phosphorus no seed dressing just working with nature
@wheat_daddy
No insecticides used here for 6 years and no problem growing OSR once the soil and plant are functioning/balanced correctly insecticides are just not needed
Four days after planting and the system is working ! Biology in action ! A system that has worked so well for millions of years until human kind thought they new better…
How wrong we were
11species cover crop providing late food for pollinators and wildlife fixing carbon into soil holding available nutrients and cultivating the soil what is not to like and working 7 days a week in return for nature’s sunshine air and water
My worst field of wheat due to the wet winter ( I don’t always get it right) but on a positive no herbicides other than post drilling glyphosate no fungicides no insecticides home saved seed so should leave a margin after nutrition and biology applications
Privately sold natural capital in the form of wild native flowers sold through
@TheGreenFarmCo1
busiest restaurant in town 😜 wild flowers are so vital for our native pollinators
Crusoe winter wheat has made it this far with
Zero seed dressing
Zero insecticides
One T1 fungicide
190kg of N
Plus added biology and nutrition with a big helping hand from Mother Nature
I bought a couple of bags of new seed this year with a single purpose dressing on can you guess which side of the picture is home saved with no dressing
Direct drilled Spring wheat still coping with the dry conditions aided by retaining as moisture as possible after many years of putting carbon back into the soil no fungicides or insecticides just biology and nutrition working with nature
Planet spring barley enjoying the morning sun just 40kg of soil applied N no insecticides and no fungicides pretty chuffed with how it’s looking on the year
Volunteer oil radish in canola covered in csfb canola clean ? Proof that my nutritional/ biological seed drench works ?? Or do beetles just prefer radish 😳🤣
Planet spring barley still finding moisture due to be direct drilled biology interacting well in the root zone due to applied biology and healthy soils
@Kenya_Agron
Interesting David
Always nice to see nutrition rather than fungicides! As I have proved many times if you get the nutrition right plants do not get ill , all coming back to having a healthy soil! Which is key to healing the planet and its inhabitants 😁
