It looks to me that this is a video of Trump in his "hold" room (site advance talk) before he spoke at the rally. The live footage Trump is watching is of the crowd at the rally. I hate Trump. He should be removed, but also think it is important to be clear about the events.
Starting to get nervous about holiday gatherings and the

. My kids are vaccinated. My husband and I have had our boosters. But I’m still worried. Anyone else getting nervous or is this just my anxiety disorder kicking in? 🤔
This Harvard article makes me so mad…🤬🤬🤬why do people who have zero historical training think they know how to conduct historical research better than actual historians????? 😡
The biopsies from my colonoscopy and endoscopy came back. No cancer! The polyps in my colon were precancerous (sessile serrated lesions), so I will need to go back in 3 years. I need another endoscopy in 2 years to continue to monitor my autoimmune disorder and look for stomach
Had a CT scan this morning. Got the report back. Things are looking much better than last week. I have more dr appointments coming up. But things are looking so much better. Thank goodness.
I am sick to my stomach after seeing a video of parents trying to get into the school while the police did nothing. I would have been one of those parents. I would have stormed into the school like a rabid animal to protect my kids. Heartbroken for those poor parents.

Nothing breaks my heart more than watching my youngest child deal with other kids teasing him for his special needs. Yesterday was a very hard day. (1/2)
Please have patience with me, because this is my first-ever twitter thread. Full disclosure: my book, which is slated to be published by UNP in fall 2021, is on the ERA conflict from the 1920s through the early 1960s. (1)
Unbelievably honored that my book, Gendered Citizenship, received a positive and supportive review in
@The_OAH
's March 2023 issue of the Journal of American History, one of the top leading academic journals for historians in the US. So overjoyed and thankful. (1)
Parents please speak with your kids about being sensitive towards others who have special needs. Someone’s differences should not be exploited for entertainment and bullying. 💔(2/2)
I have RSV. It’s hitting me pretty hard because I have asthma. I get bronchial spasms pretty easily. I’ve been so sick. Spent 3 hours at urgent care today to get steroids and new inhalers. 🤕😷🥴
I am SO incredibly proud of my youngest kid. He got an award today for integrity at school. My youngest has special needs but that doesn’t stop him from living his best life. As you can see in the picture below. He was shouting: “Let’s Go!” after receiving his award. This kid is
I am excited to announce that I have signed a book contract with University of Nebraska Press for my manuscript, Gendered Citizenship. I worked with this press last summer when they published my article in the peer-reviewed journal, Frontiers. Now, I just have to finish the book!

I need to write one more book-related post. I last spoke to my Dad three years ago today. He passed away around 3am on the 22nd of August. I dedicated my book to him because he was so incredibly happy that I had signed a pre-completion book contract a month before he passed. (1)

My children never stop talking. I love them. But the constant talking is hard. I am a pretty quiet person and it takes a lot out of me to be around the constant, never-ending talking...

(2) And, I admit, we wanted him to fight on. It helped us tremendously when he told us it was over during that speech. Concessions matter. Trump's lack of leadership in this instance matters. He needs to concede. But he won't because he only cares about himself.
Tomorrow marks 4 years since my dad’s passing. I miss him so much. So so so much. Sometimes I miss him so much that I don’t even have the words to describe the pain. 💔
Because the

today, I am reposting an op-ed in
@MsMagazine
that I wrote with women's rights activist Roberta Francis. This piece looks at the historical implications of the leaked

draft.
Any suggestions for a historiographic essay on the criminalization of abortion in the 19th century? I have gone through James Mohr's book as well as the books of Leslie Reagan, Janet Farrell Brodie, Linda Gordon, Rickie Salinger, and Andrea Tone. Looking for a good overview
I’m sick. My oldest kid is terribly sick. My youngest kid was sick but he is doing better. My partner is still standing (🙏). But it is so hard to be sick when your kids are sick. Rest is not an option. 🤕🤢🤕
Press kit is available! It includes my bio, book synopsis, table of contents, potential interview questions, topics for book talks, and advanced praise for my book. If you would like a copy, send an email to info

Ok I am venting here because I am really anxious. I’ve been having some health issues, which I posted about in December. The mass in my lung detected on the December MRI is a collapsed lung, so something that I will need to monitor with a CT scan in the future. 🧵1
Honored to have my book,

changed the nature of U.S. citizenship. To learn more visit the link to GW Today:

's Gendered Citizenship tonight 🥳 Good stuff for my slowly-getting-off-the-ground project on mid-20th-century woman lobbyists
My youngest had a speech assessment this morning for kindergarten. He has a severe phonological disorder. I fully support masking, but it makes it so hard for my youngest to communicate. So many people already don't understand him. The mask adds another barrier. Hard morning. :(
I said this when the leaked opinion came out but it is worth repeating. The Constitution does not explicitly protect female citizenship. Your rights are based on the fact that sometimes mostly male justices felt like being generous and reading the 14th amendment expansively.

(1) I worked on Kerry's 2004 campaign as part of its national advance team. I was there at his concession speech the day after the election. We were all devastated.
Bookmarks for my book. 😀 I also have bookplates available that you can put into your book to make it a signed copy. And remember my book is available in paperback! My book comes out October 1st, but it is available for pre-order now. (1)

My book offers a new perspective on the gaps between men and women’s societal positions. I argue that the original ERA conflict created the U.S’s gendered citizenship, which has prolonged women’s disadvantaged position. Read my book to find out more!
