If you've been triple vaccinated against a virus with a 99.5%+ survival rate, yet you still want to strip other people of their freedoms and human rights so you "feel safe", then you have a serious problem.
Unvaccinated people in Austria have been locked down for two-and-a-half months. I wonder if people will stop pretending they are to blame for infection rates.
The competition is stiff, but wearing a mask to walk from the restaurant door to your table remains the most moronic anti-Covid measure ever devised. Like having a pissing section in a swimming pool.
I've been vaccinated, but am vehemently opposed to mandatory jabs, coercion and discrimination based on vaccine status.
Before 2020 this made me empathetic. Now it makes me an "antivaxxer". 🤷♂️
Sajid Javid wanted to "mandate vaccinations for people who work for companies with more than 100 employees" and for Britons to "wear masks in the workplace, and be tested for Covid at least once per week."
He cannot be allowed anywhere near Number 10.
Are you suffering from Long Lockdown? Symptoms include unemployment, depression, poverty, anxiety, undiagnosed cancer, loneliness, despair and disillusionment.
(Note that wealthy professionals with large gardens and secure jobs may have preexisting immunity).
The vaccine doesn't stop you catching Covid and passing it on. It stops you getting seriously ill. Therefore the unvaccinated are not putting you at risk any more than other vaccinated people.
Why is this so hard for some to understand?
We don't want to Build Back Better. We just want a free country in which to raise our families, meet with our friends, and enjoy our brief time on this planet unencumbered by government bullshit and corporate greed.
We should all be concerned about state-mandated vaccines. This is morally unacceptable, never mind the extremely shaky scientific justifications. If you're still watching this all unfold from the sidelines, it's time to speak out. We're heading towards a very dark place.
We've vaccinated five times more people than the rest of Europe, yet they have far more freedom. Shops, schools, restaurants... already open.
Now we have to wait until APRIL to meet people OUTSIDE.
It's the last straw. I'm done even pretending to comply to this bollocks.
There are fewer Covid patients in UK hospitals (7,611) than there were at the beginning of the week (7,697), a month ago (8,071), and two months ago (8,007).
We're at one fifth of last winter's peak.
No holidays, no weddings, no family celebrations, no live music, no live sport, no nights out, no cinemas, no theatre, no bustling bars, no buzzing restaurants.
No spontaneity, nor any way to plan for the future.
No life.
Enough is enough.

For the first time since March 2020, Norway's borders are open to everyone, from anywhere in the world, vaccinated or unvaccinated, with no quarantine.
Testing requirements remain, however.

This morning at 4am, two years of pointless yet catastrophically damaging travel restrictions finally came to an end. All Britons, regardless of their medical status, can once again leave the country and return home unhindered. It’s a good day.
There are two types of people on Twitter: those who think that lockdowns, compulsory vaccines and the suspension of human rights are a proportionate response to a virus with a survival rate of more than 99.5%, and those who think.
So Australia is rounding up healthy people who visited a winery for mandatory hotel quarantine, Cypriots need a negative test to visit a supermarket, and France is threatening cafe owners who refuse to enforce vaccine passports with a year in jail.
And you thought 2020 was bad.
They locked us up. They made it illegal to see our families. They kept lovers apart. They scrapped cancer treatments. They stopped mourners hugging. They sacrificed livelihoods. They closed churches. They banned sitting on benches.
Never forget this. It must never happen again.
So if being vaccinated isn't enough to restore the basic freedom to leave your own country and return unhindered, what is?
When does this end? Or does it go on forever?

Dutch health authorities have confirmed that 'around 90%' of the 62 people who tested positive for Covid-19 after arriving on two flights from South Africa last week had been jabbed. Vaccine passports are pointless.
There's a reason why nobody talked about their "right" not to be infected by other people before 2020. Because it's completely incompatible with a normal, functioning society.
I reserve a special level of resentment for those who have spent the last two years trying to make the pandemic more difficult for children than it needed to be.
Covid passports work so well that Austria went into lockdown. They work so well that France closed its nightclubs. They work so well that Germany cancelled its Christmas markets. They work so well that the EU has twice as many Covid deaths as the UK.

If you're going to discard fundamental human rights, I think you need a better reason than "it might slightly reduce the chances of passing on a virus that at least 99.5% of people survive".
I don't want "some semblance of normality" or a "New Normal".
I want the spontaneous, fun-filled, sweaty, crowded, mask-free, big smiles, handshakes and hugs all round, brilliant Old Normal.
And I don't want to prove my vaccine status or take two tests a week to get it.
Two days ago Grant Shapps said the UK wouldn't reintroduce pre-departure tests as it might "kill off" the travel industry.
Guess what has just been reintroduced.
Why would anyone ever believe anything this government tells us?
This is Italy right now. More infections per capita than the UK, just one fifth as many vaccinated, but restaurants and shops are open, there are no stay at home orders or travel restrictions, and schools are open.
Spain has just made masks mandatory on the beach.
Two things we've learnt in the past year are:
1. Catching Covid outside is fiendishly difficult.
2. Masks have made little, if any, difference.
So, I ask simply, why? And why now? It will put off tourists, myself included.
Hundreds of people are currently stuck in quarantine hotels, paying thousands of pounds for the privilege, because of a variant that has already become widespread in the UK (336 confirmed "cases") without causing any serious illness?
They deserve freedom, a refund and an apology.
After nearly two years of having my freedoms dangled above my head by this tyrannical technocracy, I'm done. We have but one life, and we deserve to live it unhindered by cretinous authoritarians.
I will not comply.
Vaccine passports are not about keeping you safe. After all, hundreds of thousands of vaccinated people (including our health minister) are still catching and spreading Covid.
They are about control.
Support them, and you are an enemy of freedom.
#NoVaccinePassportsAnywhere
Last year my grandma died of dementia in a care home. Those who looked after her in dreadful circumstances were among the most hard-working and selfless people in Britain. It takes a special person to do that job. Now 60,000 of these heroes have been sacked. What a betrayal.
Do they expect us to just sit in our homes watching TV, getting fat and depressed, until... April?
We should be encouraged to spend time outside, to boost our mental wellbeing, our health and our immune systems, not terrorised into submission.
@GaryLineker
Qatar emits the third largest amount of carbon dioxide per capita of any country in the world, around eight times as much as the UK.
So I assume you'll be boycotting the World Cup?
If you're vaccinated but test positive for Covid, you will soon only have to isolate for five days.
But if you're an unvaccinated traveller who tests negative for Covid, you have to isolate for up to 10 days. Science.
As long as we keep mass testing people with mild or no symptoms, fretting over every positive test, and obsessing over new variants, things will never go back to normal. And they must know this.
If you think it's right to force other people to take a vaccine, you're definitely not a liberal, or a proponent of human rights. You're also, frankly, a dick.
Can anyone explain why we heard almost nothing about Covid variants for 9 months and now suddenly there's a scary new one every week? Genuinely curious.
It would be nice if journalists spent as much time scrutinising the pointless but hugely damaging masking of millions of children for eight hours a day, and the stealthy rollout of unscientific and discriminatory Covid passports, as they do Downing St parties.
Denmark has joined the club, scrapping all travel restrictions – regardless of vaccination status.
Here are the happy holiday "back to normal" member states:

We will need

to vote against the Government next week to prevent illiberal and discriminatory Covid passports being implemented in Britain.
If only their leader was a human rights lawyer.

“There’s going to be no vaccination of people under 18. It’s an adult-only vaccine, for people over 50, focusing on health workers and care home workers and the vulnerable”.
Kate Bingham, Chair of the UK Vaccine Taskforce, October 2020.
What the Covid inquiry needs to address:
Why we abandoned decades of pandemic planning and copied the draconian lockdowns of the CCP.
Why, given the clear early evidence that Covid is a danger to the elderly and largely harmless to the young, a shielding policy wasn't considered.
Government ministers, as well as the likes of Neil Ferguson, repeatedly broke lockdown rules because they knew the Covid risk for most is tiny. Yet they still spent two years deliberately terrifying ordinary people and arbitrarily restricting our lives. Unforgivable.
Lockdowns are an insane idea devised by the Chinese Communist Party that had never been proposed by any health authority in any pandemic plan before 2020. The normalisation of this human-rights-crushing anti-science makes me shudder.
People were branded "Covidiots" for flocking to the beach. Now a Sage scientist has said not one infection has been traced back to a day at the seaside. We now know who the real Covidiots were.
Rational people always knew the risks were tiny, of course!
Countries where you don't have to wear a face mask, as of February 25:
England🏴
Northern Ireland🇬🇧
Sweden🇸🇪
Norway🇳🇴
Finland🇫🇮
Denmark🇩🇰
Iceland🇮🇸
Covid is endemic. Omicron will soon be the dominant variant in every country. So what purpose, pray tell, do travel restrictions serve?
It's like closing the window to keep the wasps out when there's a nest of the little bastards sitting on the kitchen table.
Why does no government seem remotely interested in natural immunity from Covid?
You know, testing for it, finding out how long it lasts, exempting people who have it from vaccine requirements, using it to inform their wider Covid policy...
A very curious state of affairs.
Countries that Britain's ~10m unvaccinated people can visit:
Mexico 🇲🇽
Jamaica 🇯🇲
Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
Egypt 🇪🇬
Turkey 🇹🇷
UAE 🇦🇪
Norway 🇳🇴
Ireland 🇮🇪
Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Albania 🇦🇱
South Africa 🇿🇦
Tanzania 🇹🇿
Serbia 🇷🇸
Whatever rules the Government is cooking up will be understandably ignored.
The show is over. The vast majority are ready to move on from this depressing cycle of fear and restrictions, from a joyless world that revolves around disease control. They want their old lives back.
Finally, some good news for unvaccinated travellers: the 10-day self-isolation period is to be scrapped next month. They are still being discriminated against in terms of testing requirements, but it's a start.
Kenya has just extended its 10pm Covid curfew until March 12.
The country of more than 50 million people reported 1 (one) Covid death today.
All sanity is evaporating.
So "freedom day" actually
means the start of Covid passports, mandatory vaccines for thousands of care home workers, and businesses and transport providers still enforcing masks and social distancing.
When is the next protest?
The police in Britain are harassing and arresting people for making jokes and posting memes, yet the conviction rates for rape, robbery and other violent crimes are at an all-time low. Something is terribly wrong.
The vast majority of people just want to be left alone. So why do the vast majority of politicians seem determined to meddle with every aspect of our lives?
Making students wear masks all day is abhorrent. Unnecessary, unscientific, and damaging to mental health. As if children haven't suffered enough. Shame on all those who have pushed for this futile measure.
Mandatory vaccines. For a disease with a 99.5% survival rate (at least), which is almost always harmless to young and healthy people (average age of death is over 80).
And the vaccine doesn't even stop transmission.
We all know this is crazy. So why do so many remain quiet?
‘We are not stupid and we must not let the Government treat us as though we are’
Neil Oliver says ‘I believe we, the people, are living now in a version of an abusive relationship with our government. Words I do not use lightly or to cause offence.’
So is the plan now a booster every six months for the rest of your life or you can't travel freely?
A booster of a vaccine that doesn't even stop you catching Covid or passing it on.
Utter madness.
Stop the mass testing. Stop obsessing over variants. Treat those few serious cases that require hospitalisation, as we do with the flu. And this whole nightmare will be over.
Germany and Italy have become the 28th and 29th European countries to scrap all travel restrictions, regardless of vaccine status.
Meanwhile, the US is still banning unvaccinated visitors and making everyone else take a test, while Canada won't even let unjabbed citizens leave.
The World Health Organisation has called for governments to end border closures and stop asking travellers for proof of vaccination.
Restrictions on travel “do not provide added value” and continue to contribute to “economic and social stress”, it says.
Only 5% of hospital beds in England are occupied by Covid patients right now. And most of those patients have been vaccinated.
Feel free to repeat these facts when you see or hear people calling for tougher restrictions, or demonising those who have chosen not to get vaccinated.
I know I've rubbed many friends and colleagues up the wrong way with my vocal opposition to lockdowns and restrictions. But I've also been thanked by many more who agree wholeheartedly with my stance but are afraid to speak out, a sad sign of our illiberal times.
When elected leaders can talk and act in the vile way that Macron and Trudeau do, othering and baiting millions of their own citizens, and most observers barely bat an eyelid, we're facing very worrying times.
An age of authoritarianism is upon us. It can't end well.
We turned the TV on each evening to watch a press conference and find out which basic freedoms we would lose the following day. And the only people allowed to question the madness all wanted tighter rules.
I still can't believe it happened.
Imagine, if you can, being shown incontrovertible proof that while the Government was taking away your freedoms, they were making jokes at your expense and using shameless manipulation – yet your main concern is whether the journalist breaking the story followed protocol.
Much of Covid Twitter will wake up to urine-soaked sheets at the prospect of kids going back to school. So it's worth a reminder that, unlike the rest of Europe, Sweden never closed schools for under 16s. It also never mandated masks or social distancing for students. The result?
24 hours after our double jabbed Health Secretary tests positive for Covid, they announce domestic vaccine passports. Do they think we're stupid?
If you don't see how insane this is, and oppose it with all your might, you should be ashamed.
While many countries are easing travel rules, France is making things harder. Vaccinated Britons will no longer be allowed to visit if they received their second jab more than 270 days ago. Unvaccinated Britons remain barred. Oh well, plenty of other places to spend our money.
