Since mom's name is Pele after the soccer player, our care team stuck with the soccer theme. Say hello to males Lucho, Messi and Pepi & females Xavi, Sonnett and Yaya! Weather permitting, the pack will be visible at Predator Pass habitat daily from 10-2!

Say hello to Fera (like Farrah), Pam and Ripley's new baby girl! Born on Jan. 28, Fera is named for the scientific name of the lotus flower which is the national flower of Vietnam. You can see Pam, Ripley and Fera in their habitat at Sanctuary Asia!

Puddles, our miracle fishing cat turns 6 years old today so we’re celebrating with a then and now!

Four little hooves and all ears! We are celebrating the birth of a rare, endangered okapi calf born on Wed., September 7 at 3:42 a.m. in the Zoo's okapi barn. Kayin's new calf is already meeting milestones like nursing and bonding with mom. Stay tuned for updates on Kayin's calf!

With the holidays over, our friends at Lowe’s donated unsold trees to the OKC Zoo animal teams to provide some fun enrichment! The trees provided some great scent enrichment for our animals and lots of fun rolling around, snacking and even tossing in the air in some cases!
Meet the newest OKC Zoo family members - five Volcán Alcedo giant tortoise hatchlings! The OKC Zoo is the only AZA accredited zoo in the nation to breed this species of Galápagos tortoises and our male tortoise, Max’s first ever hatchlings.

After spending three months behind-the-scenes with their family group, the Zoo’s flamingo hatchlings were introduced to the flock at Island Life today. The hatchlings are identifiable by their gray feathers. Flamingos acquire their pink tone after about a year due to their diet!
