This is why you don’t just do uncontrolled burns of man made products. When you uncontrol burn industrial chemicals or electronic waste (as is commonly the case), you produce Dioxins and other nasty chemicals which are toxic and hard to get rid of…

Really puts it in perspective. Massively expensive solar system, no atmosphere to absorb solar radiation, automatic free cooling from the cold depths of space, gold plating (literally), and still only 14% efficiency 🤦‍♂️

The ISS's eight solar arrays produce a total of 240 kW of electricity when fully exposed to sunlight. Their efficiency is about 14%, so the input power is 1714 kW... making it a megawatt-scale system!

I support this but I also wish we’d focus on the existing electrical grid. Parts of the grid were built by Thomas Edison. A charging network does no good if the grid can’t keep up with these added demands. We also need to repair the roads, water pipes, and other infrastructure
