I've never understood stokvels where you get back your contributions. You contribute 1K per month, you get exactly 12K after 12 months. 0 interest earned. Just save the money yourself in an interest bearing account. 0% risk of someone running away with the money.

Appreciate your 9-5 job. It helps you to put food on the table. it gives you consistent cash flow to save and invest. You can use the income from your job to create additional streams of income. If you use the income from your job wisely, you can become financially independent.

Please don't put Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) money into an account that earns interest e.g. a cash-based bank TFSA. Cash loses its value against inflation. Use your TFSA to buy low cost diversified Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) which do better against inflation over time.

If you invest in a top40 ETF, you will have people that work in big businesses like Capitec, Shoprite, Impala Platinum, Clicks, Woolworths working to make you richer. And if you buy international ETFs the rest of the world will be working for you as well.. #ETFinvesting

@Mayo6Tee @ngcebomcobothi1 No. You cannot blackmail parents into accepting nonsense. Swazi doesn't even seem offended, her mom taught her a very important lesson. But you're more than welcome to allow your own teenage children to make 5 babies and you'll run after them with pampers.
