Just spoke to someone who's company spends $180k/mo on Elasticsearch infra with 90 days retention. Axiom self-host does the same ingest for ~$3.5k/mo infra spend with 365d retention. That's 50x reduction on infra cost before you even talk about the cost of maintaining ES etc.

I screwed this up with @axiomfm . It wasn’t the intention but with growth and doing price discovery last year we ended keeping the pricing behind “Contact sales”. This’ll be resolved soon and everything will be much more transparent. From 1TB/mo to 5PB/mo, it’ll be all laid out

Axiom’s architecture was built with the view that one day cloud tech would catch-up to what we wanted to achieve, and then it would just get better and better. @cloudflare are reinventing the cloud and I’m glad to say @axiomfm will be making the most of it 🙌🏼

@JustJake @steventey Metrics will be out in October - we have compatibility with Datadog’s agent and libraries and only a small config change needed. We also have most of their same dashboards etc (). We’re not oss but specifically don’t have our own agents etc to keep compat

To address extreme levels of data querying & dashboard manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits: - Enterprise accounts are limited to viewing 6000 traces/day - Team accounts to 600 traces/day - Personal accounts to 300/day

The amazing thing is this query costs less than $0.0001 with no indexes, schemas, or servers to manage. Scales down to $0 when not querying. Only gets faster and cheaper from here. This level efficiency changes entirely how Dev/SecOps, and analytics teams approach their data.
