Taiwan Travelogue by Yáng Shuāng-Zǐ, tr. by Lin King is a story of food, the history of language, and the intimate friendship between a Japanese novelist and her interpreter in 1930’s Taiwan. The footnotes are great addition to the text and I recommend this one. The food! ✨📚
