Studying our mound forceplate signatures. There is a lot that goes into skill development and applying impulse at the right time is everything. Size and strength can help overcome poor sequencing but when you can apply force at the right moment it’s big time regardless.

In our 500 pitch @newtforce mound study a machine learning algorithm ranked 22 variables re: influence on velocity. #1 was mass (up to about 180lbs). #2 was Impulse (rearward GRF x time). Stride length was dead last. Jumping down the mound is a bad idea.

I think one of the most important tools for a thrower to have is a radar gun Every throw you make you feel what it felt like and get immediate feedback into how hard it was. Search for the feels the give the highest velos with the lowest effort. Insanely valuable
