I don’t play Holi for the simple reason that from the ages of 6-13 years where I did participate in the festivities, I got molested. It scarred me. To this day, “Holi hai” sounds like a war cry to me, a justification to attack me in any way they wanted, with no consequences.

Delhi has State police, Indian Army battalions, riot police, water cannons, Vajra vehicles, CRPF & more. Almost all of this was deployed at protests & marches. The PM & HM hold the STOP button on this riot in their hands but they won’t press it, just like they didn’t in 2002.

Outrage is a way of life in our times. And I am tired. Angry about the Delhi Pogrom, the Govt’s blatant misuse of power in every possible way, the mishandling of the corona outbreak, and just the utter lack of basic human decency. I am just SO tired.

I am furious and frustrated that the party of Nehru, Gandhi & Patel has been reduced to a game of buy and sell. Indian National Congress was a movement of principle, faith and hope for our nation. It will do well for the members of the party to remember and reflect on that.
