We’re excited to announce NB Power’s first – and the province’s largest - solar farm is coming online in Shediac today, an important step in our efforts to modernize our grid.
7 am update: Our crews continue to work hard to safely and efficiently restore power to all impacted customers. Last night, high winds prevented us from getting buckets in the air to make necessary repairs in some areas which impacted restoration efforts overnight.

6:30 PM Update: As of 6:30 PM today, a little over 24,000 customers are without power. Although we are making steady progress in our restoration efforts, we anticipate new outages overnight as the storm continues to make its way through New Brunswick.
Due to severe weather, there are currently scattered outages across the province, with the greatest impact in the Woodstock and St. Stephen regions. Crews are in the field investigating and will begin working to restore impacted customers as soon as possible.
We would like to advise boaters and property owners on the Mactaquac headpond that the water level may be lowered by approximately 2 feet in the coming days as we prepare for a significant rain event that is being forecasted for Friday or Saturday.
If you see a downed power line, stay at least 10 meters or 33 feet away (the length of a yellow school bus). Make sure you report the downed wire to us immediately at 1-800-663-6272. Stay safe!
