5 years ago 72 people died because they were trapped in a government mandated death trap. 5 years later and we canโt forget their names. We must continue to fight for justice for them and their families. ๐๐โ๐พ

Last week I moved my first motion for Sefton Council to adopt a Race Equality declaration of intent - solidifying the councilโs commitment to race equality in the Liverpool City Region. Iโm honoured to say it passed unanimously โ๐พโค๏ธ๐น

Iโm so honoured to have been re-elected as a councillor for Blundellsands. I canโt thank the residents enough for their faith and trust in me, Cllrs Diane Roscoe & Christine Howard, and Sefton Labour. Hereโs to the next four years of working with and for you!โค๏ธ๐นโ๐พ
Keep the 72 in our hearts and minds and ensure this tragedy and the loss of their lives at the forefront of everything we do. The injustice they faced and their families continue to face cannot be forgotten. 5 years and there are still no criminal proceedings for their deaths (6)
Weโve had reports of a pot hole on Heathfield road. Seftonโs out of hours team have made the hole safe, and there is road signage on both ends of the road. Our highways team have been contacted as well as the cleansing team for an update on bin pick up.
We must ensure this does not get swept under the carpet, and real world change comes out of such a tragedy. We must make sure no one else dies in a similar way by inaction on cladding in this country.
Justice for Grenfell, forever in our hearts๐๐โ๐พโ๐พ
Find local anti-cladding groups and support their work in your local community. Lobby your MPs and ask them to support the removal of cladding and advocate for the financial responsibility to be from government not lease holders.

On Thursday Iโll be voting for
@dianeroscoe2
Diane is hardworking and passionate about Blundellsands. Over the last 3 years Iโve seen her constant dedication to residents.
Despite our political differences, Iโm voting on a case-by-case basis.
I look forward to our continued work.

Happy Windrush day โ๐พ๐ we would not be where we are today without the contributions of the Windrush generation, we must continue to fight for their justice, fight for reparations of the hostile environment and celebrate the richness and history theyโve given us๐
#WINDRUSHDAY
: Today marks Windrush Day; a day that honours the immense contribution of the Windrush Generation.
People from across the Commonwealth came to help rebuild post-war Britain, and the day not only recognises this, but reminds us to continue to fight for their justice.
