Unless she apeals to 6 year olds to 86 year olds, French people to Arabs to to Zimbabweans and tribal people and different generations for over 5 decades, I'm gonna have to say no.
41 years ago today, Michael Jackson released "Beat It," one of the most successful and acclaimed songs of all time, as the third single from his iconic 'Thriller' album.
A skin disorder doesn't make you white, a rhinoplasty doesn't mean you hate your race, a chin claft or makeup you're forced to wear doesn't do that either or having children with a white person
It's 2024 it's time for people to stop using double standards for this man
White people like to ignore that MJ was a black man debuting in 60s fought his way to global recognition and platform who broke barries by revolutionizing and reshaping pop culture and was crucified and vilified by media
People hate to call a black man king
Madonna isn't held in higher regards like MJ purely because of misogy and homophobia
People hate to see a bad bitch being hot, successful, talented and gay at the same time, that's just too much
Losers be like "my fav is this generation's Michael Jackson" when they see a fraction of success. Next minute they're like "nah my fav better mj flopped" btch when you keep comparing and wishing means he's the Standard.
Wait... these two are not versatile dancers. I mean, if Chris Brown was not problematic and has the budget, he'd be in this conversation. That guy can dance afro. MJ cannot dance legwork please.
Also, scrap Shakira and put Beyoncé there. Belly dance and vibes is not versatility
For many reasons this is so offensive (to me) and wrong. As someone who lives with a horrible and abusive father I hate it when people think a mother is always able to protect her children from her abusive husband but that doesn't mean she doesn't try.
Why not new Elvis? Cause as far a white privileges and media promotion goes they are more similar
+ the new MJ has to be able to dance, sing, innovative, revolutionize, break barriers, bring something new to the pop culture, ... on a similar level
"What I don’t understand is just singing about sex and “I want to get in a hot tub with you baby and rub you all over” and, but I get battered in the press as the weirdo."

The most interesting part about Michael’s depositions was how calm and patient he was. How can one sit there for hours while being interrogated without becoming extremely irritated?

@MissSassbox
It's 2023 people aren't supposed to believe everything they see on the internet grow up and read some court documents instead
Black people saying Michael didn't wanna be black never sits right with me. One of the most influential and biggest entertainers who ever walked on this earth was a black man and u support the racist media narrative that he wasn't one of u??
Anyways. While yall wanna imagine your fav is Michael Jackson famous. Here's the ceremony that almost got canceled because they couldn't control the crowd.
@BuzzFeed
Being called wacko jacko, monkey and a freak being rediculed for his appearance and skin disorder, various lies and rumors told about Michael Jackson since the begining of his success... he needs apoloy more than anyone
People who downplay mj's Superbowl halftime show always forget their faves brought nothing new to the performance and relied heavily on stage production while mj literally revolutionized the show with minimum equipment and delivered a massage halftime shows forgot to deliver
@heavensballroom
@shamonehoes
They constantly talk about his painkillers addiction but they forget to mention he was dealing with chronic pains, Lupus,... issues mostly caused or worsened by stress and overworking. Other performers should not go down that road
I love that kpop stans are so nice about Michael. Unlike some other fandoms who act like an a$$ when their fav pays homage to him or gets compared to him..
Popping, jazz, mime, tap, and numerous ballroom dances, hip hop, steet dancing, African,... were a few of the Genres Michael covered in addition to freestyling and creating his own style
Thankfully, he wasn't limited to backflipping and aggressive hair flipping and thrusting.
@_bowdowntoshak
Michael nor Shakira is versatile…Michael does his core moves and style..and Shakira belly dances and does her salsa shit…that’s it…if we’re talking dance it would be Beyonce and Chris Brown
This least experimental artist argument always comes from people who hate Dangerous and HIStory (2 extremely experimental projects in terms of genre and concept and sound) and love OTW (a monotoninc disco album) that's how you know they're biased
I remember a 13 year old mj actually SINGING a self written
#1
in Oscars and not sounding off key at all but sure the Minnie mouse vocals are iconic too
