Saranya Ganesan was born into abject poverty & having a differently-abled brother only added to her father's financial woes. Thanks to her indomitable spirit & mentorship at Mahindra Pride School, Saranya, now an employee at Ford Motors, is now able to support her entire family!
In Araku, our forest restoration efforts have resulted in a return of rich biodiversity in the region and the sequestration of thousands of tons of carbon. This has not only brought back birds & pollinators, but has cut down soil erosion & made the soil richer.

Evidence indicates that if women farmers had the same access to productive resources as men, they could increase yields on their farms by 20 to 30 percent. In Araku, more than 50% of the farmers we work directly with are women.
