The beauty of America is that Biden might win today but won’t move into the White House until late January, 2021. In Malawi in 2014, the election was called at 9pm. By 10pm, President Joyce Banda had been asked to vacate because in-coming president wanted to move in “tomorrow”

I once worked and lived in an African country that had only TWO African countries visa exempt. Fellow Africans would fail to attend conferences because of complicated visa processes. Yet, US and most European nationals would simply walk in because they did not need a visa

BUT THEN: When the body was flown to Malawi on 14th April, it had to be re-embalmed because the process was not properly done in SA. And a carpenter had to be found to fix the casket, which was falling apart in places. The casket was a donation by the South African govern.

An excited Malawian voter drops his ballot. Voter turnout has been impressive so far as the country elects a new president after the 2019 election was nullified by the court for massive irregularities. It’s a race between President Peter Mutharika and challenger Lazarus Chakwera

Every other minute in South Africa a woman is raped, someone is murdered, a car is stolen, a child is assaulted, large scale corruption is happening... And your reaction to all that is to show your disgust by being rude to a Wimpy waitress?

Today I had breakfast at Wimpy Clearwater Mall a waiter by the name of Nomatter from Zimbabwe came to serve us at our table. I politely told her that I want to be served by a South African. Normalize refusing to be served by aliens #PutSouthAfricansFirst

He said inside the president’s residence was a room that they never knew of before. When the room was forced open, three people went in and came out with bags and and bags. He suspected that there must have been money in that room. Where the money went; nobody knows.

Asked what he misses the most, former Malawi president Peter Mutharika ruefully said; “ease of travel. It used to be so much easier for me to move from one place to another”. And this is how he used to travel👇Roads would be closed off 1 hour before his 30-car convoy swept past
