We are waiting for INEC's official declaration. Still, I think Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso might be the happiest person in Kano now. Nothing could be more fulfilling for him than Abba Kabir Yusuf's historic victory against his ally-turned-archrival, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. 1/2

Moreover, since the SLS-led banking reform, your money is safe in the banks. As much as we criticise Nigeria for its countless problems, not everything is bad or worse than elsewhere. I, for once, prefer the services of Nigerian banks to German ones for the above reasons. 3/3

Kano Election Tribunal sacked two lawmakers due to forgery. President Tinubu's alleged forgery case should worry him and his supporters. However, thanks to his power as the political Godfather of the country, they seem unbothered. How I wish justice is as blind as it should be!

Hausa/Fulani are treated like an insignificant minority in the country they numerically have the majority. This is ironical. This barbaric murder of innocent travellers and traders over and again has to stop. The victims ought to be compensated and the perpetrators prosecuted.

My German PhD supervisor met a Nigerian worker in Cologne. In her effort to start a conversation, she asked him about Kannywood. He didn't only know about it but also denied its existence. She was stunned. Nigerians can be grossly ignorant of their country and its people. #Hausa

Even if Kwankwaso doesn't win the 2023 presidential election, he will apparently play a significant role in who wins it. The man has been trending on Twitter again and again - and for good. Save Zulum, no northern politician seems to have the goodwill of tweeps like him. Kudos!
